Oni Armaments are the special weapons Miyamoto Musashi charges with blue souls, and each one deals heavy damage while feeding yellow souls back to you when it connects. There are seven in total across Musashi’s run through the dark-fantasy Kyoto of Onimusha: Way of the Sword, and collecting all of them is a set task with a clear payoff.
Quick answer: Grab all seven Oni Armaments to unlock the Oni Armory trophy and achievement. Three come automatically through the story, and the other four sit in chests you can still return for before the point of no return.

Add to Google Preferences →The Two Celestials at Kiyomizu-dera Temple
This is the first Oni Armament you can pick up. At Kiyomizu-dera Temple, a Thread Genma holds the second oni gate shut. Destroy that second Thread Genma, and a treasure chest drops out of the threads it was holding. Loot the chest to add The Two Celestials to your kit.

Oni Bow in the Oni Refuge
The Oni Bow sits in a chest on the main path through the Oni Refuge. It is required for the story, so you cannot skip past it. Follow the route to the Refuge and open the chest along the way.
Wind-Whipper during “The Oni’s Apprentice”
You do not have to search for this one. During the mission “The Oni’s Apprentice,” you are shown the Skills practice grounds and the Boss Rematch feature. After those tutorials, a chest appears, and the Wind-Whipper is inside.

Earth-Shakers in the Underground Laboratory
Head to Underground Level 4 and make your way to the Underground Laboratory, which is just past the fan puzzle. Solve the fan puzzle, move into the next room, and the chest holding the Earth-Shakers is waiting there.
Firebird Flute after “Shadows Fall”
During the “Shadows Fall” mission you deal with a Rift south of Gojo Street, near the East Spirit Shrine. Once the Rift is gone, a chest sits where it used to be. Open it to collect the Firebird Flute.

Flashing Void at Mount Oe
Flashing Void is in the Castle Courtyard of Mount Oe. Look for a cave you have to slide into to reach the chest. The armament is inside that chest.
Still Water in the Swamp of Arashiyama
The final armament is tucked into the northeast corner of the map, in the Swamp of Arashiyama. Reach that corner and open the chest there to pick up Still Water and finish the set.

How to confirm the Oni Armory trophy
Once all seven Oni Armaments are in your possession, the Oni Armory trophy and achievement unlock. If it has not popped, you are still missing at least one chest from the list above.
You can free-roam and clean up collectibles right up to the point of no return before the final mission, “The Clash At Rendaino.” Keep a manual save at that point so you can return for anything you skipped. After the credits, selecting “Continue” from the main menu also drops you back before the final mission.
Tip: The chest-based armaments are far easier to track once you unlock the Oni Vision: Treasures, Oni Vision: Treasures 2, and Oni Vision: Search Range special skills. While exploring, hold L2/LT and tap R2/RT to sweep for nearby chests so the four hidden armaments do not slip past you.
