How to Get the Demon God Passive in Palworld 1.0

Two reliable routes to the Attack +30% rainbow passive, plus how to copy it onto the Pals you want.

Two reliable routes to the Attack +30% rainbow passive, plus how to copy it onto the Pals you want.

Demon God is one of the strongest combat passive skills in Palworld. It gives a Pal a flat Attack +30% and Defense +5% with no downside, which makes it a target passive for anyone building fighters for hard-mode bosses. It sits in the top Rank 4 (Rainbow) tier, so it is rare and can take a long grind to land.

Quick answer: Catch or fish wild Pals and hope Demon God appears among their revealed passives, or craft a Disposable Implant from Ancient Relics dropped inside the World Tree and apply it to any Pal you choose. Run both at once, then breed a Pal that has it to copy the passive onto others.

What Demon God does

Demon God is a permanent trait tied to a single Pal. Its attack bonus stacks with other attack passives, so it pairs well with damage-focused builds. It has no effect on base work and does not change elemental interactions, only raw damage. A Pal can hold up to four passives at once, but the same passive cannot appear twice on one Pal.

Get Demon God as a Disposable Implant from Ancient Relics

The 1.0 update added a guaranteed route that skips the capture lottery. A Disposable Implant lets you add Demon God directly to a Pal you already own. It is a one-time-use item, but it removes the randomness of the passive itself once you have one in hand.

Reach the World Tree. You first need to defeat Auri and Shaolong in the Sunreach Islands, then beat Panthalus to open access.
Farm Ancient Relics inside the World Tree. They drop from looting chests and from defeating or capturing enemies there, with Alpha and Dungeon Bosses being the best sources.
Unlock and craft the Ancient Relic Recycler, which becomes available at level 74 in the Technology Tree. Feed your relics into it to roll for Disposable Implants.
Prioritize higher-tier relics. The Glistening Ancient Relic (golden) has the highest chance of producing Disposable Implants, though the loot pool contains hundreds of items, so expect to recycle many.

Relics come in five tiers of increasing value:

RelicRarity color
Decayed Ancient RelicWhite
Dormant Ancient RelicGreen
Gorgeous Ancient RelicBlue
Glowing Ancient RelicPurple
Glistening Ancient RelicGolden
Once you have a Disposable Implant, apply it to the Pal you want as your fighter. This directly attaches Demon God to that Pal.

Find Demon God on wild Pals by catching and fishing

The original method still works and can run in the background while the Recycler churns. A wild Pal’s passives are only revealed when you catch it, so the strategy is volume. Catch many copies of easy targets and check each one.

Gobfin at Gobfin’s Turf is a strong farm. They spawn in large numbers and an Ultra Sphere is a full-health, high-reliability catch, so you can burn through captures quickly. Condense any duplicates you do not need for breeding or expeditions.

Fishing is another good source. Look for purple-glowing fishing spots for the best catches, and bring a Solmora Lux to make the process smoother. Any Pal you reel in with Demon God can go straight into breeding.

Doctor Brawn’s experiments can also add Demon God. His procedure can roll one of the rainbow passives that appear through normal random rolls, so with enough attempts he can grant it to a Pal.

Breed Demon God onto the Pal you want

Once a single Pal carries Demon God, breeding copies it forward. Offspring have a chance to inherit their parents’ passives, so assign a Demon God Pal to the Breeding Farm and keep hatching eggs. Inheritance is random and can be slow, but it lets you move the passive onto a Pal that fits your party or base.

Breed a Pal that has Demon God to pass the passive to its offspring (Image via Pocketpair)

The only hard limit is that a child cannot hold two copies of the same passive. Beyond that, you can chain-breed toward a Pal with several rainbow passives at once, though transferring four ultra-rare traits at the same time is a long RNG grind. A practical loop is to breed a Demon God Pal into a species you plan to use, then use that offspring to seed the passive into even stronger Pals.

How to confirm you got it

Open the Pal’s status screen and check its passive list. Demon God shows in the top Rainbow tier with the Attack +30% and Defense +5% values. If it appears there, the passive is active and permanent on that Pal. Note that Demon God cannot be bought from any merchant, so if you are hoping to shortcut it through a vendor, that route does not exist.

The fastest overall approach is to run the Ancient Relic Recycler for a guaranteed Implant while catching and fishing on the side, then breed whatever Demon God Pal you land onto your ideal fighters.
