Palworld: How to Summon and Beat the Blazamut Ryu Raid Boss

Blazamut Ryu is one of Palworld’s toughest raid bosses, a Level 55 fight that you trigger yourself instead of hunting on the map. There is no world spawn and no pin to follow. You build a Summoning Altar, feed it a completed slab, and the boss lands at your base with a hard ten-minute clock attached. Beat that clock and you walk away with an egg that hatches into Blazamut Ryu plus a stack of rare crafting materials.

How to summon Blazamut Ryu at a Summoning Altar

Gather four Blazamut Ryu Slab Fragments. These drop from dungeons scattered across Sakurajima Island, so clear those runs until you have all four in your inventory.

Combine the four fragments into a single Blazamut Ryu Slab at a crafting bench. This turns the loose pieces into the one item the altar accepts.

Build a Summoning Altar, ideally at an empty base away from your main outpost so the boss cannot destroy anything important. Add any base Pals you want fighting alongside you before you start.

Walk to the center of the altar, place the completed slab inside, and activate the ritual. The boss spawns immediately and the ten-minute countdown begins the moment it lands.

Best Pals and counters for the Blazamut Ryu fight

Blazamut Ryu is a Dragon-heavy raid boss, and the reliable answer is a party built to punish Dragon-type enemies. Ice Pals such as Frostallion and Vanwyrm Cryst deal heavy damage against it, and top-tier Dragons like Jormuntide and Jetragon hold their own trading blows. Water Pals also work well as a lead, with Penking being a strong opener if you prefer that route.

Before summoning, upgrade the Pals you plan to use. Breed for better stats, boost them at the Pal Essence Condenser, and raise their base numbers at the Statue of Power. A well-bred, upgraded team is the difference between clearing the timer and watching the boss vanish with health left.

Fight plan to beat the ten-minute timer

The real opponent here is the clock, not your health bar. Blazamut Ryu carries an enormous HP pool that keeps escalating as the fight drags on, so commit to damage from the first second.

Send your damage Pals in and let their skills stay on cooldown rotation. Ice and Dragon attacks carve through the boss fastest, and several of these Pals also drain residual health over time.

Add your own weapon damage on top. Fire in quick bursts, then reload and heal from behind base structures. Blazamut Ryu moves fast on the ground, so never linger out in the open.

Dodge the wind-ups. The boss uses active skills at range and up close, and its hits will drain a Pal down to its last bar. Pull Pals back before big attacks land, then push them back in.

Exploit the mount trick with Frostallion. Mount it to trigger an attack, then dismount so it keeps attacking Blazamut Ryu automatically while you keep shooting. Keep this pressure up until the health bar empties.

Note: You can swap in or add more base Pals during the fight, so top up your line if your front-runners are close to fainting.

If the clock hits zero, Blazamut Ryu despawns and you have to gather fragments and repeat the whole summon. The only way to know you succeeded is the boss dropping and the reward chest appearing.
