Quick answer: Talk to Yu’er at the Thieves’ Camp and take her four Life-saving Pills. Give one pill to each wounded thief at the four marked spots, then return to Yu’er. Her reward is most likely the Calming Gourd.
The quest appears in the Tales tab as A HEALER’S MERCY, with the subtitle “A healer’s hands, a sacred trust”. It has two objectives:
- “Go to the location marked in Record of the Lost Thieves and treat their wounds”
- “Inform Yu’er that the thieves have been found and treated”
The objective calls it “Record of the Lost Thieves”, but in your inventory the item is named RECORD OF THE MISSING THIEVES. They are the same note.
How to start A Healer’s Mercy
Yu’er stands about 10 m from the Thieves’ Camp bell. When you talk to her, she gives you 4 x YU’ER’S LIFE-SAVING PILL and the Record of the Missing Thieves. Each pill treats one thief, so you have exactly enough for the job. The pill’s item card reads:
A vermilion pill with a warm, lustrous sheen and a faint fragrance from the calming herbs Yu’er added to it.
Once taken, it quickly staunches bleeding and mends wounds, while nourishing the meridians and restoring strength.

The note gives a clue for each thief. Its full text reads:
Zhou the “Lean Monkey”
Was chased by the bandit chief near the long suspension bridge. He seems to be hiding in a nearby cave occupied by a notorious butcher.Li the “Flying Rat”
Imprisoned by the bandit chief in an underground cavern.Gui the “Night Raven”
Attacked by rabid dogs while searching for treasure. Last seen at the cave beside the camp with mounted crossbows.Zhen the “Slippery Eel”
Last seen in the cellar beneath the Baishan Sect mountain lodge. There may be another way out of the cellar…
Where to find all 4 wounded thieves
Once the quest is active, four spots are marked on the Crimson Forest map. The distances below are straight-line measurements from the nearest bell.
| Spot | Nearest bell | Straight-line distance |
|---|---|---|
| By the long suspension bridge (most likely Zhou’s cave) | Outlaw Trap | About 34 m, about 15 m lower |
| Outlaw Trap area | Outlaw Trap | About 64 m, about 2 m higher |
| Beside the camp | Thieves’ Camp | About 60 m, about 5 m lower |
| Cellar under the mountain lodge (most likely Zhen’s cellar) | Cliffside Lodge | About 37 m, about 17 m lower |
Suspension bridge spot: This thief is most likely Zhou, whose clue points to a butcher’s cave by the long suspension bridge. He lies in the cave in the butcher’s camp area near Outlaw Trap, the same camp that holds the Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank. He is about 34 m from the Outlaw Trap bell and about 15 m below it.

He can be found before the quest begins. Interacting with him then only shows that he is gravely wounded and likely beyond saving, with no choices. Come back with Yu’er’s pills to treat him.

Outlaw Trap spot: The second marker near Outlaw Trap is about 64 m from the bell, about 2 m above it.
Camp spot: The marker is roughly 60 m away from the Thieves’ Camp bell, a little below it.
Mountain lodge cellar: This thief is most likely Zhen, whose clue names the lodge cellar. The marker is in the cellar beneath the lodge, closest to the Cliffside Lodge bell. The storehouse cellar near Cliffside Lodge covers the same area.
Report back to Yu’er (most likely for the Calming Gourd)
After you treat all four thieves, the second objective appears. Two of the thieves you treated then turn up at the Thieves’ Camp. Talk to Yu’er there to finish the quest. Her reward is most likely the CALMING GOURD accessory, which is tied to her spot at the camp. Its effect reads: “Using medicine lets you recover from Guard Break and prevents Sha-Chi consumption for 3 seconds.” The item card notes that Thief Wang entrusted the gourd to Yu’er before he retired from theft.

A Healer’s Mercy is one of three Yu’er quests needed for the achievement THE HEALER’S LEGACY, which reads “Complete [Flesh Lily], [Apprentice Healer], and [A Healer’s Mercy]”. The other two are Apprentice Healer and Flesh Lily.
