Quick answer: Hunter’s Insight is a pickup in Weeping Creek Valley near The Lady’s Rift bell. It increases damage dealt and Sha-Chi depletion against attacking enemies by 7%.

Where to find Hunter’s Insight

Travel to Weeping Creek Valley and rest at The Lady’s Rift bell. If you die, you respawn close to the accessory instead of somewhere farther away. All of the region’s bells are listed on the Weeping Creek Valley bells page.
Open the Weeping Creek Valley interactive map and find the Hunter’s Insight pin. Click the pin to see its details.
Head to the pinned spot near The Lady’s Rift and collect Hunter’s Insight. It then shows up with your other accessories, ready to equip.

“Increases damage dealt and Sha-Chi depletion against attacking enemies by 7%”

The item description reads:

“A bronze pendant housing a crystal chip of unknown origin, capable of revealing the openings in an enemy’s attacks. A swordsman once roamed the Wulin with it at his side. Striking only after his opponents made their move, he slew countless enemies. Then one day, he encountered a band of Maskwalkers.”

How to polish Hunter’s Insight

Polishing (refining) Hunter’s Insight raises its bonus from 7% to 15%. After Polish 1, the effect line reads “Increases damage dealt and Sha-Chi depletion against attacking enemies by 15%”.

You need a Tainted Crystal Shard for the polish. Quick Hand Zhang sells one for 7,440 Remnant Dust. Polishing only raises the numbers.

What Hunter’s Insight is good for

Hunter’s Insight adds damage and Sha-Chi depletion against enemies while they are attacking. That rewards counter-hitting instead of trading blows. It pairs naturally with good timing, and the guide on how to parry covers that side of combat. For other damage bonuses, see how to increase damage.

You start with three available accessory slots, which means Hunter’s Insight can be equipped as soon as you collect it. The full Phantom Blade Zero accessories list covers every other accessory, along with its effects and location.
