Quick answer: Treasure Basin is in a chest in Meigu Lake, about 69 m from the White Serpent House Dock bell, so you can get it without the pre-order. It makes enemies drop 10% more Remnant Dust.

Where to find Treasure Basin

In Phantom Blade Zero, look in a Meigu Lake chest for Treasure Basin. From White Serpent House Dock, the closest bell, the chest is about 69 m away in a straight line and approximately 3 m higher.

Rest at the White Serpent House Dock bell before you go for the chest. Bells work as fast travel points and as respawn points, so resting there gives you a nearby place to return to.

The Meigu Lake interactive map marks the chest’s exact spot. If you’re clearing the region anyway, the Meigu Lake collectibles list covers every chest, key, and shard there.

Treasure Basin and the pre-order bonus

Treasure Basin is also the accessory that comes with the pre-order bonus. If you pre-ordered, you claim it at the start of the game from the Pre-Order Bonus screen, where it shows up as “Early Access to Accessory”.

If you didn’t pre-order, you get the same accessory from the Meigu Lake chest. The pre-order gives you the accessory sooner, but it doesn’t give you a different item.

How to polish Treasure Basin

Jewel can improve Treasure Basin through polishing. One polish doubles the bonus from 10% to 20%, and it costs 21,824 Remnant Dust. The steps are the same as when you polish accessories at Jewel.

Is Treasure Basin worth using

Remnant Dust pays for upgrades. When enemies drop more of it, you upgrade sooner, so Treasure Basin is worth equipping early. You start with three accessory slots, so it can sit next to two other picks from the full accessories list. If you want more dust beyond this bonus, there are other ways to get Remnant Dust.
