Mystery Gifts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A hand out free items, Mega Stones, and side missions without costing a single Poké Dollar. Some arrive automatically once you own the game or its DLC, while one still requires typing in a code by hand.
Working Pokémon Legends: Z-A codes
One text code is currently redeemable through the Mystery Gift menu, and it stays valid well into 2027.
PREPAR1NG— Five Max Revives, ten Full Restores, and ten Ultra Balls (valid until March 31, 2027)
No other text codes are active right now. The remaining Mystery Gifts on this page unlock through the “Get via Internet” option instead of a typed password.

PREPAR1NG, or “Get via Internet” for gifts tied to a purchase. You can also select “Check Mystery Gifts” to review anything already claimed.
A successful redemption adds the items straight to your bag, and the gift shows up under “Check Mystery Gifts” if you want to confirm it went through. If the code doesn’t work, double-check the spelling and capitalization before trying again.

Other Mystery Gifts tied to purchases and events
Several Mystery Gifts don’t use a text code at all. They unlock through “Get via Internet” once you meet a specific condition, usually owning the base game or the Mega Dimension DLC.
| Gift | How to unlock | Valid until |
|---|---|---|
| Garchompite Z Mega Stone + “Special Distortion Detected” side mission | Complete one or more hyperspace adventures in the Mega Dimension DLC, then claim via Get via Internet | March 31, 2027 |
| Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y | Purchase the game, then claim via Get via Internet | Not specified |
| Diancite + “Shine Bright like a Gemstone” quest | Purchase the game, then claim via Get via Internet | Not specified |
| Japan-exclusive birthday Audino | Bring proof of birthdate and your Nintendo Switch to a Pokémon Center in Japan during your birth month, then redeem the code you’re given | January 31, 2027 |
The Garchompite gift is the most involved of the group since it requires progress in the Mega Dimension DLC before it appears in the Mystery Gift menu. Mewtwonite X, Mewtwonite Y, and Diancite are tied only to owning the game, so they should be waiting for anyone who checks “Get via Internet” after starting a save file. The Audino distribution is limited to in-person redemption at Pokémon Centers in Japan and runs through the applicant’s birth month.
Checking the Mystery Gift menu periodically costs nothing, and it’s worth doing after any major game or DLC purchase since some gifts activate without an announcement beyond appearing in that list.
