Pokemon Legends Z-A Mystery Gift Codes (September 2026)

Pokemon Legends: Z-A hands out Mega Stones, healing items, and side quests through its Mystery Gift feature. Some of these rewards need a code typed in by hand, while others arrive automatically once you meet a simple requirement, like owning the game.

Working Pokemon Legends Z-A codes

These are the Mystery Gifts currently confirmed as active. Most don’t need a typed code at all, they unlock through the “Get via Internet” option once you meet the listed condition.

PREPAR1NG — 5 Max Revives, 10 Full Restores, and 10 Ultra Balls (expires March 31, 2027)
Get via Internet — Garchompite Z Mega Stone plus the “Special Distortion Detected” mission to battle Mega Garchomp Z, unlocked after finishing at least one hyperspace adventure in the Mega Dimension DLC (expires March 31, 2027)
Get via Internet — Mewtwonite X and Mewtwonite Y, tied to the “Project M” side quest, granted for owning the game
Get via Internet — Diancite Mega Stone, tied to the “Shine Bright like a Gemstone” quest, granted for owning the game
In-person redemption — a birthday Audino for players in Japan who bring proof of birthdate and their Nintendo Switch to a Pokémon Center during their birth month (expires January 31, 2027)

Note: the Garchompite Z and Mewtwo/Diancie Mega Stone gifts don’t use a typed password. They show up under “Get via Internet” once their condition is met, so there’s no code string to type in for those.

How to redeem Mystery Gift codes

Redeeming a code takes less than a minute once the Mystery Gift menu is unlocked. Here’s the exact path to follow in-game.

Press X to open the main menu and pause the game.

Select “Link Play” from the menu list.

Choose “Mystery Gift.”

Pick “Get with Code/Password” if you have a typed code like PREPAR1NG, or “Get via Internet” for gifts that unlock automatically. You can also use “Check Mystery Gifts” to see what you’ve already claimed.

If prompted, type the code exactly as shown into the text box and confirm. An internet connection is required, though a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not.

A successful redemption adds the item, Mega Stone, or quest flag directly to your save, and the gift moves into your “received” list under Mystery Gift so it can’t be claimed twice on the same file.

Unlocking the Mystery Gift menu

Mystery Gift doesn’t appear right away. You need to finish Main Mission 3, “A New Life in Lumiose City,” which involves catching five Pokémon species and speaking with Mable on the third floor of the Research Lab. That scene adds “Link Play” to your main menu, and Mystery Gift sits inside it from that point on.
