The Yin Half and Yang Half are the two pieces that open the Sealed Cave in Ride a Pet’s Halloween area. Both sit on the ground as small dark objects, and you need one of each to trigger the ritual. They rotate through 23 known spots spread across the starting point, the pumpkin area, and the graveyard.
Quick answer: The Yin Half and Yang Half spawn on the ground across 23 spots in three zones. Each piece despawns after about 5 minutes and respawns 5–10 minutes later.
What you need before searching
The halves only appear inside the Halloween area, and that area is gated behind Rebirth 1. Finish your first rebirth, then walk up to the pumpkin-ringed portal in the main map and hold the interact key to step through. Until you have completed Rebirth 1, the portal will not open and no pieces can spawn for you.
Ride in on a fast ground mount rather than a flying pet. Any player can grab a piece, so speed matters, but a high-altitude flying pet makes it far harder to see small objects resting on the ground.

Each half is temporary: unless collected, it disappears about five minutes after appearing, and a replacement may arrive five to ten minutes later. Yin and Yang may both be present on the map, so pick up whichever you find first, then look for the matching half.
The simplest signal to start a sweep is the server banner that reads “Eggs have been restocked!” at the top of the screen. That restock lines up with pieces becoming active, so begin running the zones as soon as it appears.
After you finish a ritual and collect the reward, the cave enters a 15-minute cooldown before the pieces become active again. Searching during that window wastes time, so wait out the cooldown before your next loop.
When a piece bugs out or remains missing after you’ve checked everywhere, take a break until the next egg restock cycle instead of retracing the same locations.
All 23 Yin and Yang spawn locations
The spots are split across three zones. Work one zone fully before moving to the next, since a piece can sit behind a tree or tucked against a wall where it blends into the Halloween decorations.

Completing the ritual and claiming the reward
Once you pick up one half, the screen prompts you to find the other. With “Both Halves Found! Bring Them To The Cave” showing, ride to the Sealed Cave and place each piece into its slot.

A successful ritual is confirmed by the Candy Pot payout: +50 Halloween Tokens for a standard run. Each time you open a cave, there is a 0.1% chance of getting the Headless Egg, which hatches immediately into the Headless Horseman. On the other 99.9% of openings, the cave gives you Candy to deposit for Halloween Tokens.
Because the egg is a 1-in-1,000 result, treat every run as a Token payout first and the egg as a bonus. Keep looping the zones on a ground mount, wait out the 15-minute cave cooldown between rituals, and start each fresh sweep the moment the restock banner appears.
