The Dragon sits at the top of the pet ladder in Ride A Pet, and it is the only pet in the game with a base income of 300 million. There are two ways to chase it: buy instant-hatch rolls from the Shop with Robux, or hunt the high-tier eggs that spawn around the map for free. Neither route hands it over. Both are a dice roll.

Dragon stats and why players chase it
The Dragon’s pet card gives it a hatch probability of 1 in 501; the Shop table displays that as 1%. Its remaining details center on earnings.

At 300 million base income, the Dragon earns more than any other money pet in the game. The game’s promotional artwork also shows 999 MPH, which sits at the top of the speed ladder, although that is not the highest base mount speed. Kitsune has 1 billion base speed, so many players equip Kitsune for travel while leaving the Dragon on the ranch to generate cash.
There is one hard requirement attached to it as well. Rebirth 7, the final Rebirth, asks for $50Qa and a Dragon in your inventory. Every Rebirth grants +1x money multiplier, +1 pet slot and a new ranch skin, and it wipes your cash and purchased luck when you commit.
Do not sell a Dragon, Kitsune, Phoenix, Unicorn, Fox or Horse. Each one is locked behind a Rebirth requirement, and selling it means grinding the pet again.

What 3,499 Robux actually buys
At 70 Robux, the 50-roll pack offers the lowest cost per roll, but buying it does not buy the pet. Because each attempt is independent, 49 failures have no effect on roll 50. Stack your odds before you hatch
Nothing removes the randomness, but a few habits raise how many quality attempts you get per session.
- Learn the reliable spawn areas. The waterfall, water caves and beach zones are worth sweeping regularly.
- Buy Hatch Luck upgrades from the board inside your ranch before opening your best eggs.
- Hatch aggressively during mutation weather events, which change the properties of every egg on the map.
- Feed your pets at the food stalls. A higher-level pet covers more ground, so you reach more eggs.
- Chase Aurora and Cherub Eggs even when you do not need them. They use the same countdown behaviour and teach you the routes.
Rebirthing wipes your cash and any luck bought from the ranch board, so spend down your luck upgrades before you hit the Rebirth button rather than after.
How to confirm you hatched the Dragon
The hatch identifies the pet by name, and the Dragon goes directly into your collection. From the pet list, verify its card: base speed: 300M; base jump: 150; base weight: 10kg; base income: 300,000,000. A new Index entry also appears for the Dragon.
Once equipped, it changes your income rate to that base amount, while mounting displays the normal Dismount prompt used by other rideable pets. Regardless of Shop purchases, continue collecting eggs around the map; the free method requires only attention, and each egg adds another Index entry.
Not the same as the Infernal Dragon in Roblox Islands
Searches for a Roblox dragon pet often land on Roblox Islands instead, which is a separate game with a separate dragon. There, the pet comes from the Infernal Dragon, a boss fought in the Underworld arena that unleashes walls of fire while players attack with magic staffs and melee weapons.
Beating it drops an Infernal Dragon Egg, which behaves like a loot chest rather than a hatchable pet egg. Opening one gives random rewards including opal hilts, underworld tokens and, rarely, the dragon pet itself. None of that applies to Ride A Pet, where the Dragon only comes from Shop rolls or map eggs.
