Ride A Pet: The Fastest Way to Rebirth in Roblox

How to set up a fast recovery loop, pick the right pet, and hit your next rebirth milestone quicker.

How to set up a fast recovery loop, pick the right pet, and hit your next rebirth milestone quicker.

Rebirthing in Ride A Pet wipes your cash and luck and hands back permanent multipliers and base upgrades, like the Crystal Base. The part most players get wrong is treating the reset itself as the goal. The clock that matters is how long it takes you to climb back to a strong pet and a strong income after the reset, and that number is decided before you ever press the button.

Quick answer: Do not rebirth the moment it unlocks. Memorize one efficient egg route, secure a mid-to-late-game pet for movement speed, then reset and rebuild along that same route.

Why movement speed decides your rebirth time

The loop is short. You find eggs on the map, hatch them into faster pets, and mutate those pets to push speed even higher. Faster pets reach rarer eggs, and rarer eggs produce the pets that get you to the rebirth requirement. Everything downstream is gated by how quickly you can physically cross the map.

That is why a slow starter pet is the single biggest tax on a rebirth run. Sitting on an early-game mount while you grind for cash stretches every single lap you run.

Pet speed tiers

TierPetsUse case
Early-game (slow)Snail, Turtle, Sloth, AxolotlStarter only, replace fast
Mid-game (moderate)Deer, Kangaroo, Crocodile, Horse, Wolf, Shark, LionStabilizes your route
Late-game (fast)Fox, Giraffe, Cheetah, Unicorn, T-Rex, Phoenix, Cerberus, Dragon, KitsuneReal rebirth speed

Fast rebirths are a mid-to-late-game activity. Until you are riding something from the second or third row, your recovery time will stay high no matter how carefully you route.

Speed or income: Find your actual bottleneck

Two late-game pets show the trade-off clearly. One is built for covering ground, the other for cash.

Kitsune is the movement option, while Dragon trades raw speed for roughly triple the income. Pick based on what is holding you back. If you are constantly cash-starved and standing around waiting for money, income is the bottleneck. If you have money but spend most of your run travelling between eggs, speed is the bottleneck.

Two habits that waste an entire rebirth cycle

Chasing every egg. Grabbing weak eggs far off your path costs more time than the pets inside are worth. Lock in one clean loop, collect only what sits directly on it, and equip any speed upgrade the instant you get it.

Mutating throwaway pets. Mutations spent on a pet you will replace in ten minutes are gone. Hold your best mutations for keeper pets you plan to ride long term.

Before you press rebirth

Resetting with a weak recovery plan is how a five-minute run turns into a thirty-minute one. Have these settled first.

  • You know your best egg route by memory, not by wandering.
  • You know which pet you are aiming to re-acquire first.
  • You know whether speed or income is your current limiter.
  • You have read the rebirth screen for the current requirement.

Read the rebirth menu every time before resetting. Updates can change the requirement, and assuming the old number is an easy way to reset into a longer grind than you planned for.

The post-rebirth recovery route

Move the second the reset finishes. Skip the menus, skip checking your stats, and head straight to the first eggs on your early route.
Dump the starter pet as soon as anything faster appears. Equip the speed upgrade immediately, because every lap after that one gets shorter.
Once you have a decent mid-game pet, stop detouring. Ignore weak eggs entirely and farm only your strongest available route.
Spend cash only on upgrades that shorten this run. Anything that does not directly improve recovery can wait.
With speed and income restored, push everything into hitting the rebirth requirement, then repeat the loop.

How to tell the cycle is working

The measure is simple. Each rebirth run should take less time than the one before it. When the rebirth screen unlocks sooner than last cycle, your route and pet choices are correct.

If a run drags longer than the previous one, check four things in order — pet speed, income, the quality of the eggs you are farming, and whether mutations went onto pets worth keeping. One of those four is almost always the cause.

The formula does not get more complicated than that. Secure a fast pet, build a clean egg route, spend only on what shortens recovery, hit the requirement, reset, and run it again with a slightly better starting position each time.
