The Index in Sailor Piece is a collection system that tracks how many unique items you own across multiple gear and progression categories, then converts that total into permanent stat buffs. Reaching 200 entries unlocks every milestone, capping damage, luck, crit damage, crit chance, and HP boosts. There are 229 total entries available, so you do not need to chase every limited drop to max it out.
Quick answer: Travel to Slayer Island (the final island in Sea 2) or the center of the starter island in Sea 1, interact with the Index NPC near the entrance, and equip or hold items from each category to register them; collecting 200 of the 229 entries unlocks all milestone buffs.

Where to find the Index NPC
The Index NPC sits in two fixed locations, depending on which sea you are playing in. In Sea 2, teleport to Slayer Island, then walk to the left of the island entrance to find the NPC. In Sea 1, the same NPC is positioned in the middle of the starter island, which makes it easy to reach for new accounts. Interact with the NPC to open the full collection menu and review every category.
How items register in the Index
An entry only counts when the item is currently equipped or sitting in your inventory. Older clans, races, swords, melees, and similar unlocks from before the Index update do not register automatically, so you must re-equip or re-roll them if they were discarded.
Event-exclusive specs, titles, and auras do contribute toward the total, but they are not required to reach the cap. Seasonal guild titles awarded through leaderboards and certain newer event auras currently do not count toward Index progression.

Index categories
The Index tracks eleven categories. Each one contributes equally toward your total entry count, so prioritizing the easier categories first is the fastest way to climb milestones.
| Category | Main source |
|---|---|
| Melees | Boss drops, trainer NPCs, special encounters |
| Swords | Trainer NPCs, boss drops, crafting |
| Clans | Clan Rerolls |
| Races | Race Rerolls (bosses and mobs) |
| Auras | Aura Crates |
| Traits | Trait Rerolls on gear |
| Runes | Dungeon and Infinity Tower drops |
| Cosmetics | Cosmetic Crates, NPC and boss drops, events |
| Relics | Relic Parts crafted at the Relic Crafter, Crystal Defense |
| Bloodlines | Bloodline Stone rerolls |
| Titles | Boss kills, raids, events, milestones |
Index milestone rewards
Every milestone is permanent and stacks with itself within the same stat line. The final tier of each stat is the maximum value reachable through the Index alone, separate from gear, artifacts, or temporary buffs.
| Entries | Upgrade | Total after upgrade |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | +5% Damage | Damage +5% |
| 10 | +5% Luck | Luck +5% |
| 20 | +5% Crit Damage | Crit Damage +5% |
| 30 | +1% Crit Chance | Crit Chance +1% |
| 40 | +5% HP | HP +5% |
| 50 | +7.5% Damage | Damage +12.5% |
| 65 | +10% Luck | Luck +15% |
| 80 | +7.5% Crit Damage | Crit Damage +12.5% |
| 100 | +1% Crit Chance | Crit Chance +2% |
| 120 | +10% HP | HP +15% |
| 140 | +10% Damage | Damage +22.5% (MAX) |
| 160 | +10% Luck | Luck +25% (MAX) |
| 180 | +10% Crit Damage | Crit Damage +22.5% (MAX) |
| 200 | +1.5% Crit Chance | Crit Chance +3.5% (MAX) |
At 200 entries, you keep +22.5% Damage, +25% Luck, +22.5% Crit Damage, +3.5% Crit Chance, and +15% HP. Pairing the crit chance buff with a crit damage chestplate makes it possible to push effective crit chance to its ceiling more comfortably than before the Index existed.

Fastest order to reach 200 entries
The cheapest entries come from categories you can roll with currency rewards. Burn through Clan Rerolls, Race Rerolls, and Trait Rerolls first because each successful new result adds an entry without requiring boss travel. Save legendary and mythical skips inside the reroll settings so you can stop on entries you do not own yet.
Auras and Cosmetics scale with crate openings. Use code rewards and event payouts to stockpile Aura Crates and Cosmetic Crates, then open them in bulk to register fresh entries quickly. Most active codes drop these crates as part of their package.
Runes come from Dungeon and Infinity Tower runs on Sea 1, so a single farming session covers most of that category. Relics require Relic Parts collected from delinquents and bandits on the starter island, strong fighters further in, and strong bandits on Bizarre Island, then crafted at the Relic Crafter NPC. Crystal Defense also drops some relics directly.
Bloodlines need Bloodline Stones, which are rarer, but each fresh roll is a free Index entry until you own them all.

Swords and melees worth prioritizing
Swords and melees are the slowest categories because many require trainer questlines, specific boss farms, or crafting materials. Grouping them by island reduces travel time. Shibuya hosts Cursed Vessel, Limitless Sorcerer, and Cursed King trainer routes. Sailor Island covers Solo Hunter and Vampire King. Hollow Island handles Manipulator, and the Hollow Island and Boss Island combination feeds the Soul Reaper trainer line.
Direct purchases and exchanges are the fastest entries. Katana, Dark Blade, Gryphon, and Combat come from straightforward sellers, while Excalibur, Abyssal Empress, Anti Magic, Qin Shi, and Soul Reaper are obtainable through mode rewards or boss tickets. Dragon Goddess only drops from Sea Serpent and Kraken, so sea beast farming is its only route. Great Mage requires the Ancient Mage title, one Mana Core, and magic materials from the Easter Island trainer.
Titles and how to clear them efficiently
Titles are usually awarded for killing specific bosses a set number of times, with a low chance of an early drop and a pity unlock after enough kills. Boss Island in Sea 1 covers most of the standard title pool. In Sea 2, Sun God and Cosmic Being have a 30-minute respawn timer, so AFK rotation or coordinated server hops through the official Sailor Piece Discord shorten the grind. You do not need every title to reach 200 entries, so skip limited or extremely rare ones if the rest of your Index is close to full.

Verifying Index progress
Open the Index NPC menu and check the running total at the top. Each category tab shows owned versus available entries. After equipping a new item or completing a roll, the total updates immediately, and milestone buffs apply the moment you cross a threshold, with the new percentage visible in your stat panel.
If an item you own is not counting, confirm it is either equipped or sitting in your active inventory rather than stored, and that it is not a leaderboard-exclusive aura or guild title, since those are excluded from Index totals.
Reaching the 200-entry cap is the practical goal for almost every account because the remaining 29 entries above that point are mostly limited drops with no additional milestone reward attached.
