The Funglebee is a Wondrous scroom that lives in Songkeeper’s Grove, and Jones the beekeeper wants one badly enough to build a whole side quest around it. Catching the little yellow, bee-striped creature and handing it over is all there is to Beekeeper’s Request in SCROOMS. The tricky part is that a Funglebee is rare, so you need to stack the odds before you start playing.

What the Funglebee is and where it lives

Everything happens in Songkeeper’s Grove. You do not need to visit any other region, buy anything from the Store, or spend Robux to make this work.

Finding Jones and his beehives

In Songkeeper’s Grove, Jones waits on a narrow shelf by the waterfall. Starting at the spawn signpost, pass the red house on your right, then angle left over the grass toward the campfire in front of the falls. Look beneath the two orange beehives on the red tree trunk, above the red table covered with honey jars; Jones is there.

You want the patch of grass directly below that ledge, with the beehives, the campfire, and the waterfall straight ahead of you. That is the spot to play from.

Catching a Funglebee

Grinding songs elsewhere in the grove did not produce a Funglebee for us. About 400 songs around the spawn signpost, instrument stall, and red houses gave about 70 to 75% Common, 20 to 26% Uncommon, 4 to 5% Rare, and four Wondrous scrooms, all Faebud. Two things change the picture, and the safe plan is to set up both at once.

You caught: Funglebee! Frequency: 31.5 Hz, with the New Index Entry: Funglebee banner, on the grass below Jones's beehives in SCROOMS

Equip your instrument and head to the grass below Jones’s beehives. A Violin of Pilgrimage (Luck +40%) works well here, but any instrument you can tune with will do. Ours came within the first six songs played on that patch of grass.
Check the weather. The second box at the bottom left of the screen, next to the clock, shows the current weather. Wait until it reads Pale Moon, shown as a moon with stars and an “x2”. Clicking it explains “Tones are twice as likely” and “The rarer scrooms seem drawn to it…” — exactly the condition you want for a Wondrous catch.

Clicking the weather box at the bottom left shows the Pale Moon text.
Use your instrument to match the Funglebee’s band, keeping the scroom within the catch area as you would for any other catch. On success, pink text displays “You caught: Funglebee! Frequency: 31.5 Hz”, followed by the pop-up “New Index Entry: Funglebee”.

Use both the location and Pale Moon weather for this catch; since both were present, there’s no way to tell which one led to it. The nearby hives make this a fitting place for a bee scroom, while Pale Moon’s description notes that it attracts rarer scrooms. Having both in place is the setup that worked for us.

Handing the Funglebee to Jones

Once the Funglebee is in your backpack, the Beekeeper’s Request tracker flips from “Catch and give Jones a Funglebee. (0/1)” to (1/1), and a green “!” appears over Jones on his ledge. If he still asks for one, open the backpack with G and select the Funglebee so your character is holding it, then talk to him again.

Walk up to Jones and press E to talk. He opens with “Oh, I hear that buzzing! Did you manage to catch one?”.

Select “Here you go sir!” to give him the scroom. The completion banner displays “Quest Completed: Beekeeper’s Request”; Jones responds, “It’s absolutely beautiful! Many thanks, I’ll treasure this bee!”.

Close the conversation with “No problem!”. That finishes the quest. Jones keeps the Funglebee, and talking to him again only gives “Again, thank you so much!” — he has no follow-up quest to offer.

Reward and how to confirm it worked

Completing Beekeeper’s Request pays out 1,350 XP and 450 Chimes. The Chimes counter ticks up by the full 450 on turn-in, so you can watch the number climb as proof the hand-in registered.

The catch itself is logged separately in your Index. Open the menu and look under Songkeeper’s Grove for the highlighted Funglebee card, listed as a Wondrous Scroom with the 26.2 Hz to 43.7 Hz frequency range. Adding it moves the grove’s completion percentage up as well.

Keep the Funglebee safe until you hand it in

The easiest way to lose a hard-won Funglebee is to sell it by accident. At Julian’s counter, the “[Sell Inventory]” button sells everything your settings allow, and a Wondrous scroom goes with the rest if you are not careful.

Before visiting a seller, disable Wondrous at Settings > Sell Inventory, or favourite the Funglebee. Favourited scrooms are never sold, making this the safest way to bring it to Jones intact.
