Enriched Uranium is a plot upgrade in Sell Lemons that forces two random mutations onto every tree grown on that plot, and it keeps doing so for as long as it stays there. That constant extra roll is the opposite of what you want when you are trying to build a clean tree for mutation stacking, which is why serious crossbreeding depends on keeping certain plots Uranium-free.

Quick answer: You cannot strip Enriched Uranium off a plot once applied, so the fix is placement. Put it on a single corner plot, and grow your stacking and cleansing trees on separate plots that never received it, where Cleansing Fertilizer can remove mutations one at a time.

What Enriched Uranium does to a plot

Enriched Uranium works at the plot level, not on individual trees. Once it is applied, every tree that grows on that plot picks up two random mutations on top of whatever it would have developed on its own. That extra randomness can be helpful when you just want more chances at a rare mutation, but it actively fights you when you need a tree to finish clean.

It helps to see how it compares with the other mutation items, since only one of them actually removes anything while the rest only add.

The important detail is that Cleansing Fertilizer only clears a mutation from a single growing tree. It does nothing to the Enriched Uranium sitting on the plot, so new trees planted there keep receiving their two random mutations no matter how many times you cleanse.

Why Uranium breaks mutation stacking

The stacking and crossbreeding method relies on planting unmutated fruit so you can cleanly cut away everything you do not want later. That entire approach needs plots that add nothing on their own. Enriched Uranium ruins it because it injects two random mutations into every fresh tree, so the cleansing step can never fully catch up.

If your whole garden is covered in Enriched Uranium, the method simply cannot run. Every plot would force extra mutations, leaving nowhere to grow a controlled tree. Keeping at least a few clean plots is a hard requirement, not a preference.

How to isolate Enriched Uranium and protect your clean plots

Apply Enriched Uranium only to a corner plot of your garden. A corner limits how many surrounding trees can interact with it and leaves the middle open for your clean, controlled plots.
Grow your stacking and cleansing trees on separate plots that never had Enriched Uranium applied. On those plots you plant unmutated fruit and use Cleansing Fertilizer to strip one mutation at a time until only the ones you want remain.
Keep the trees you are working with spaced apart. Trees placed too close can grab mutations from their neighbors, which reintroduces exactly the random mutations you are trying to avoid, including anything drifting out of the Uranium corner.
Save fruit from every tree you use in the process. That way you always have an unmutated or partially cleaned starting point to replant, instead of being pushed back onto a Uranium plot.

Note: If you do want the extra rolls while hunting a specific mutation, Enriched Uranium can get you there faster. Just keep it quarantined to its corner so it never contaminates the trees you plan to clean.

How to confirm a plot is clean

Check any tree’s mutations by tapping the (i) button in the fruit’s profile, either from the fruits menu or next to the tree it grows on. That menu lists every mutation on the fruit along with its effect.

A plot is safe for controlled growing when a freshly grown, unmutated fruit comes out carrying only its expected Pure mutations from its Evolution tier and nothing else. If new trees keep finishing with two extra random mutations, Enriched Uranium is still active on that plot, and you should move your stacking work elsewhere.

Mutations lock in the moment a tree finishes growing and cannot be changed afterward. So the time to keep a plot Uranium-free is before you plant, not after the tree is fully grown.
