Star Wars Zero Company: How to Fix Tel-Rea’s Third Meditation Slot

A quick equipment swap in the Armory's Utilities tab frees up the third Force Meditation slot after Padawan Training V.

A quick equipment swap in the Armory’s Utilities tab frees up the third Force Meditation slot after Padawan Training V.

Tel-Rea Vokoss is the only permanent Jedi Operator in Star Wars Zero Company, and her Padawan Training passive eventually grants a third Force Meditation slot. A lot of players run into the same wall at that point. The focus tree clearly shows the rank is bought, but the Armory still treats the third slot as locked and refuses to let you drop anything into it.

Quick answer: Open the Armory, go to the Utilities tab, and swap one of Tel-Rea’s already-equipped Force Meditations for a different one. Completing that swap wakes up the third slot, and you can fill it right away.

Check Padawan Training V before touching the Armory

The third Meditation slot comes from Padawan Training, the passive on Tel-Rea’s Jedi Padawan specialization. Its early ranks hand out 30% Deflection, then movement and melee critical chance, and the extra Meditation slots arrive at the later ranks. If Padawan Training V is not purchased, no amount of menu fiddling will open the slot.

Open the Personnel menu, select Tel-Rea, and move into her Focus Tree. Under the Padawan specialization, Padawan Training V should read as unlocked rather than available. Focus is spent per Operator, so ranks bought elsewhere in your roster do nothing here.

Unlock the third Force Meditation slot with an equipment swap

The slot is not actually missing. It just fails to refresh until the game re-reads Tel-Rea’s utility loadout, and swapping a Meditation is what forces that refresh.

From the hangar, walk over to the Armory console and select Tel-Rea Vokoss. Do this from the ship rather than from a mission briefing screen.
Move to the Utilities tab and open her Force Meditations. The two active Meditations will be filled, with the third position greyed out or unselectable.

Pick one of the Meditations already equipped and unequip it. Serenity works fine as the one you pull out.
Equip a different Meditation into that now-empty position instead of putting the original back. Control Pain is a straightforward replacement. Confirm the change rather than backing out of the menu.
Select the third slot. It should now respond, letting you assign a Meditation to it like the first two. If you preferred the original loadout, put Serenity back afterwards — the third slot stays open.

How to confirm the third slot is active

The tell is simple. Before the swap, the third position cannot be highlighted at all. After it, the slot accepts input and the Meditation you choose appears in it alongside the other two.

Back out to Tel-Rea’s loadout summary and check that all three Meditations are listed. If the summary still shows two, the swap did not register and you should repeat the unequip-and-replace sequence in the Utilities tab.

If the third Meditation slot is still locked

There are only a couple of reasons the slot refuses to open once you have run through the swap.

  • Padawan Training is not at Rank V. Rank IV looks similar in the tree at a glance, so verify the exact rank on Tel-Rea’s Focus Tree before assuming a bug.
  • The Focus was spent on another Operator. Upgrades do not carry across the roster, and the Meditation slots come only from Tel-Rea’s own Padawan Training ranks.
  • The swap was cancelled. Removing a Meditation and then re-equipping the same one, or exiting before confirming, leaves the loadout unchanged and the slot untouched.

Tel-Rea’s Jedi Padawan specialization cannot be assigned to a custom Operator, and with permadeath active she cannot be replaced if she dies, so it is worth getting her full Meditation loadout in place before the next tactical mission rather than discovering the locked slot mid-deployment.
