Steal an Egg Hungry Monster Event Guide (Monstrous Egg Rewards)

Feed five Infested Eggs to the Hungry Monster for a Monster Chest before the event closes on September 5, 2026.

Feed five Infested Eggs to the Hungry Monster for a Monster Chest before the event closes on September 5, 2026.

The Hungry Monster is a limited-time event in Steal an Egg that runs from August 29 to September 5, 2026, and disappears when the next update goes live. A hungry creature sits near the Sell Shop in the pen area, and your job is to feed it Infested Eggs until its hunger bar hits 100%. Each full bar hands you a Monster Chest, and the chest is the only in-game way to earn the rare Monstrous Egg through play.

Quick answer: Collect five Infested Eggs (any biome), equip each one, stand in the circle under the Hungry Monster, and hold E on PC or the Feed Parasite button on mobile. Five eggs fill the bar to 100% and drop one Monster Chest, which you can immediately start filling again.

How the Hungry Monster feeding loop works

Every Infested Egg satisfies exactly 20% of the monster’s hunger, no matter which biome it came from. That fixed rate means five eggs always equal one Monster Chest. There is no bonus for using rarer eggs, so the cheapest Infested Egg you can steal is worth the same as your best one here.

Once the bar reaches 100%, the Monster Chest is awarded and the hunger resets to zero. You can feed the monster again right away, so the loop repeats as long as you keep bringing in Infested Eggs.

Note: Feeding an egg destroys it permanently. Never feed a rare egg you actually want to hatch, because it is gone the moment the monster eats it.

Where to find Infested Eggs

Infested Eggs are ordinary eggs that have spawned with purple parasites sitting on top of them. Look for that parasite marking to tell them apart from normal eggs. Every time the eggs reset, a random number of them can turn Infested, and the exact chance is not fixed.

They only appear in the higher-tier biomes listed below. Steal one successfully, carry it back, and it becomes feed for the monster.

  • Volcano
  • Abyss Ocean
  • Prehistoric
  • Cosmic
  • Cherry Blossom
  • Titan Temple

How to feed the Hungry Monster

Open your inventory and equip an Infested Egg so you are holding it. You need it in hand before the monster will accept it.
Walk into the circle marked on the ground directly below the Hungry Monster near the Sell Shop. Standing inside this circle is what activates the feed prompt.
Press and hold E on PC, or hold the Feed Parasite button on mobile, until the egg is consumed. The hunger bar climbs by 20%, and you repeat with four more eggs to trigger the Monster Chest.

You know it worked when the hunger bar fills to 100% and a Monster Chest is added to your inventory. From there you can open the chest and start feeding again immediately.

Monster Chest rewards and drop rates

Each Monster Chest rolls a single reward from the pool below. Most pulls are short five-minute boosts, while the Flyswatter and the Monstrous Egg are the rare payouts worth grinding for.

The Flyswatter behaves exactly like a bat. Once it drops, equip it from your inventory and swing it the same way you use your standard bat.

Monstrous Egg pets and mutation odds

The Monstrous Egg, also called the Monster Egg, is the headline reward. Beyond the Monster Chest, you can also get it from the Titan Temple biome or buy it in the Shop with Robux. Hatching it produces one of six Monster Pets at the rates below.

Every hatch also carries a 1% chance to roll the Mecha Mutation on whichever pet you get, so any of the six can appear in its Mecha form.

Grind before the event ends

The Hungry Monster and its rewards are tied to the current event window and will be pulled from the game with the September 5, 2026 update. If you want the Flyswatter or a shot at the Monstrous Egg through gameplay, keep stealing Infested Eggs from the higher biomes and feeding them in sets of five while the monster is still standing by the Sell Shop.
