Mutations are the strongest way to raise income in Steal an Egg. Each one changes how an egg and its hatched pet look, and it applies a fixed multiplier to that pet’s cash-per-second. There are five mutations, and where you get them depends on which one you want.
Quick answer: Silver (1.25x), Golden (2x), and Rainbow (2.5x) roll from eggs found on the map or from the Fuse Machine. Bloom (1.5x) and Spirit Bloom (3x) come only from the Sakura Incubator in the Cherry Blossom zone. Spirit Bloom’s 3x is the highest multiplier in the game.

Getting Silver, Golden, and Rainbow from the map or Fuse Machine
These three mutations are entirely RNG-based. You either stumble onto a mutated egg while stealing across the biomes, or you gamble for one through the Fuse Machine. There is no way to force a specific result, so it can take many attempts before one appears.
The easiest way to spot a mutated egg on the map is to compare it against the other eggs in the same nest. If one is noticeably larger or a different color than its neighbors, it carries a mutation. Bring it back to your base to confirm and hatch it.
Tip: Because a bigger egg can also mean a bigger size roll, always try to steal the largest egg you can carry. That raises your odds of both a higher rarity and a mutation on a pet that already earns more.
Getting Bloom and Spirit Bloom from the Sakura Incubator
Bloom and Spirit Bloom are exclusive to the Sakura Incubator, which sits at the back of the Cherry Blossom zone, the game’s final biome. Unlike map mutations, this method lets you actively mutate an egg you choose instead of hoping one rolls at hatch.
Bloom vs Spirit Bloom roll chances
Every egg charged to at least 100% rolls one of two outcomes. Bloom is the common result, while Spirit Bloom is the rare, higher-value chase. There is no separate item or special egg for Spirit Bloom, so you simply repeat the process and rely on the roll.

You know the mutation applied when the processed egg shows the new visual and the hatched pet carries the higher cash rate. Because Spirit Bloom only lands 2.5% of the time, expect several attempts before it appears.
Fusing mutated pets can strip the mutation
Fusing mutated pets is risky. The result is randomized, so a fused pet may come out with no mutation at all, and the chance of losing it climbs if one or more of the pets you feed in are not mutated. To keep your best pets safe, avoid using mutated ones as fuse material.
The practical rule is to protect anything carrying Rainbow or Spirit Bloom. A Spirit Bloom pet is one of the largest single upgrades you can make to your base income, so treat it as a keeper rather than a fusion ingredient.
