Sticky Fingers is a returning trinket added in Grounded 2’s Into the Abyss update, hidden on top of a cinder block deep in the Rocky Chamber of the Abyss. Once equipped, it gives your hits a chance to steal an item straight from an enemy’s loot pool without killing or looting the creature. That single effect makes it one of the most valuable trinkets in the update, because it is the only way to pull the Speed Droplet and Frozen Droplet trinkets from Aphids.
Quick answer: Enter the Abyss with a full Diving Suit, ride to the far north Rocky Chamber cinder block (around 75° N / 6° E), place a Croakwurst bomb on the pink Chewed Gum, detonate it with a Harpoon Gun, and pick up Sticky Fingers from the ground once the gum breaks.
What you need before you go
You cannot reach this trinket without first opening the Abyss, which requires the complete three-piece Diving Suit equipped at the Diving Deck. Beyond that, the gum blocking Sticky Fingers only breaks with an explosive, so a Croakwurst bomb is mandatory.
| Item | Why you need it |
|---|---|
| Full Diving Suit (Helmet, Chestplate, Boots) | Required to pass the Diving Deck gate and enter the Abyss. |
| Croakwurst bomb | The only way to destroy the Chewed Gum covering the trinket. |
| Harpoon Gun | Detonates the bomb from a safe distance. |
| Toe Biter Nymph (optional) | A nearby Nymph attacking the bomb can trigger it instead of a Harpoon. |
The Croakwurst recipe calls for Raw Tadpole Meat, an O.R.C. Receiver, Unstable Goo, and Sunken Bone, so craft one before diving rather than backtracking. An amphibious Toe Biter Buggy is not required, but it makes the long underwater ride to the chamber much faster.

The trinket sits in the top-left portion of the Abyss map, in the Rocky Chamber. The cleanest route starts from the High Ground Antenna in the northwest corner and uses thermal vents to climb.

Note: You may run into a Toe Biter Nymph and an Ancient Pond Jockey on the way up. Clear or dodge them so you have room to work on the ledge.
Blow up the Chewed Gum and collect the trinket
The pink Chewed Gum on the cinder block hides Sticky Fingers. It cannot be mined or hit with a weapon; it has to be destroyed with the Croakwurst blast.

You know it worked when the trinket appears in your inventory and Gum Nuggets drop from the shattered gum. If nothing appears, the gum was not fully destroyed, so place and detonate another Croakwurst.
What Sticky Fingers does and why it matters
When equipped, Sticky Fingers gives your attacks a chance to steal an item from an enemy’s loot pool during combat. The Steal Item effect can pull a creature part without killing or looting the target. For example, a single hit on a Toe Biter Nymph can hand you a Toe Biter Shell.
Its real value is as a farming key. Two of the other Into the Abyss trinkets can only be obtained through this steal mechanic, so equip Sticky Fingers before hunting them.
| Trinket | Steal target | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| Speed Droplet | Regular Aphids | Quickness, roughly 10% faster movement. |
| Frozen Droplet | Woolly Aphids | Minty Dodge, a chill blast on dodge with a cooldown. |
Both droplet steals are heavy on RNG, since each hit is only a chance to trigger the drop. Grab Sticky Fingers first, then commit to those Aphid farms so you are not repeating the run later.
