Bakir rules the southwestern stretch of Vale Sangora from Boar’s Back, Rockfalls, and the West Silts, and the only way to force him into the open is to wreck his operations one by one. His court activities are spread across headhunter camps, road transports, hidden distilleries, and public pillories, and none of them appear on your map until you stumble across them. Coen is expected to be around level 20 before taking these on.
Quick answer: Complete roughly nine of Bakir’s twelve court activities to max out his anger level in the Court tab, then disrupt one more operation — Farkas the Fox will approach you and you can find him in front of Lunar Manor in the Silts to begin The Lunar Game.
Before you start: time costs and finding the activities
Every one of the eleven numbered activities in Bakir’s four groups burns 3 time segments, for a total of 33 if you clear them all. The Lunar Game adds another 6, and the follow-up quest The Ring costs 1 to 3 more. Since the whole story runs on a 30 in-game day limit, that budget matters — you do not need to finish all twelve to draw Bakir out.
Court activities are listed as “Unknown Activity” until you physically discover them in the world. Clearing the towers scattered across Vale Sangora marks them on your map with white question marks, which saves a lot of aimless riding. Buying Shapeshift from the Vampirism tree and Mercurial Fervor from Witchcraft early makes the travel between them far less painful.

The four groups differ mostly in how long they take in real time. Headhunter camps are the fastest — walk in, kill everyone, done. Pillories are nearly as quick. Distilleries force you through rooms and corridors before you can smash the stills. Transports are the slowest, because the convoys walk the roads and are not always sitting where you expect them.
| Activity | Where to find it | What completes it |
|---|---|---|
| Headhunters: Matter of Honour | Svartrau Northern Crossroads, outside a house | Kill the Rebel Hunter Captain and his men. You can ask for a duel, but the whole group fights you anyway. |
| Headhunters: Silent to the Grave | Behind a cabin in the woods at Porina | Kill the attackers, then optionally use Compel Soul on the dead rebel with Monumit’s Bandana. |
| Headhunters: Smoke Them Out | The Silts, at a burning house | Kill every headhunter and loot the bodies for the Ranker’s Sword and Nighttime Pendant. |
| Transports: Curious Shipment | The road near Rockfalls | Intercept the convoy, wipe out the escort, and inspect the carrion cargo meant for kobolds. |
| Transports: Fool’s Gold | The road near Turtle Rock | Defeat the escort. Let the survivors walk and they hand over a treasure map. |
| Distilleries: Ends and Means | Near Boar’s Back | Clear the yard, enter the barn, and destroy the still. A worker here plans to poison the vats. |
| Distilleries: Coercion and Duress | Svartrau City | Kill the guards, decide the worker’s fate, then interact with the equipment to wreck it. |
| Distilleries: Offshoot | Forest near Svartrau City, still hidden in a cave | Fight through the guards outside, then destroy the distillery inside the cave. |
| Pillories: Out of Love | A backyard in the middle of Svartrau City | Approach the pillory, kill the guards, and free Nelu. |
| Pillories: Familiar Face | Main road in the southern part of the village, marked with a yellow “!” | Interact with the pillory and kill the guards to free Vasil. |
| Pillories: Old Hand | Directly in front of Lunar Manor | Kill the guards and free Baltzer. |
| A Mother’s Plea | Uriash Village and a tavern in Svartrau City | Find Bakir-Ocha, beat her boss Andrei, and talk her into going home. |

Note: freeing Vasil in Familiar Face triggers a hunger prompt. Giving in feeds Coen on the man he just rescued, which still completes the activity but kills him.

Optional sub-quests you can only unlock mid-activity
Three of the twelve hide extra content behind a single choice or interaction. Miss the prompt and the sub-quest never appears.
Secret Stash: During Silent to the Grave, use Monumit’s Bandana to compel the dead rebel’s soul. That uncovers a trail leading to the old well nearby. Drop down it and loot the book at the bottom for Denarius, the Ring of Quick Strikes, a Minor Vigour Infusion, and the Recipe for Minor Vrakhiri Attunement.
Ill-Gotten Gains: After beating the escort in Fool’s Gold, choose to spare the soldiers. They hand you a treasure map pointing at a gold stash, and the dig site gets marked once you track the quest.
Catalin’s Tutor: At the Old Hand pillory, pick the line “I’m not letting anyone hurt this man.” Head to the camp north-west of the pillory afterwards, ask him to teach you, and win the duel. He then becomes a Swordmastery teacher.

The Uriash Village chain that unlocks A Mother’s Plea
A Mother’s Plea is the twelfth activity, and it is missable and time-sensitive. It only becomes available after two side quests tied to Lacra, and both have to be done in order.

This also opens the sub-quest The Heart Wants What It Wants, where you find a way into the hideout and recover a memento. Talk to Ocha by the river afterwards, then report back to the Matriarch in Uriash Village to close the quest out.

How to confirm Bakir is angry enough
Open the Court tab and check Bakir’s anger meter after each activity. Once it fills, the infamy quest The Lunar Game appears in your journal. If the first objective tells you to wait for the right opportunity, sabotage one more of his operations — that is what makes Farkas approach you, and he then waits in front of Lunar Manor in the Silts.
Every activity you clear also raises your Infamy Rating, which prompts Brencis to issue Edicts. Expect extra patrols in settlements, military checkpoints, higher shop prices, soldiers who recognise Coen on sight, and eventually shut gates at Svartrau City that force you to climb the walls at night.
Bakir’s activities stay available after you kill him, so anything you skip on the way to The Lunar Game can be mopped up later for the extra XP and skill points. Just keep a manual save before the boss quest and before the ending, since that is the cleanest way to come back for the leftovers without eating into your 30 days.
