The Hollow on Roblox: How to Get to Floor 8 and What Waits There

Floor 8 in The Hollow, the Roblox Presents Halloween event experience, is now open from the same lobby elevator as every other floor. As of 30 October, only one button on the panel is still taped shut, and it isn’t 8.

Quick answer: Press 8 in the lobby elevator. Leave the red safe room through the doorway under the curved canopy into a round hall, and keep away from the entity there.

How to get to Floor 8 in The Hollow

Start in the cinema lobby and walk down the long carpet hall to the elevator at the far end. This is the same route you take for Floor 1 (see where the elevator is and how the Floor 1 maze works).

Step inside the elevator to open its button panel. Buttons 1 through 8 are open. Button 9, the last one below them, is still covered in red tape. An Exit button sits under the panel.

Press 8. The floor is new. On 29 October its button was still taped over.

Click through any lines that appear at the bottom of the screen during the ride. The trip ends when a “Floor 8” title appears at the top of the screen as the car arrives.

Floor 8 elevator dialogue

Your first ride to Floor 8 plays two lines of dialogue at the bottom of the screen. Click to move from one to the next:

“Oh, thank goodness. You’re still here. I was afraid I might be the only one left.”
“I had another dream. Only… I don’t think it was mine.”

On our second ride no lines showed, only the “Floor 8” title on arrival.

The Floor 8 safe room

When you arrive, you face an entrance beneath a curved canopy speckled with small red lights. A shimmering purple-blue barrier fills the opening, with a glowing orange poster frame on either side. Floor 8 is played in first person. To restore your cursor, check the lower-left corner for “M Free mouse”.

The whole room is lit deep red. There’s red carpet, red half-moon wall lamps, a bin and more orange poster frames. The HOW TO PLAY board stands to the right of the doorway and carries the same four panels as the other floors:

“Enter the maze and find the puzzle room.”
“Complete the puzzle, claim the relic.”
“Bring it back. Avoid the entity at all costs.”
“Claim your daily reward.”

Leaving the safe room and the round hall

The canopy doorway is the way out into the maze. Walk straight at its middle. If you’re slightly off-center, you’ll bump into the wall beside it and have to back up and line up again.

An entity caught us in the round hall within a minute or two of arriving, on both of our rides. It’s a tall, dark creature with a glowing red core in its chest, long pale claws and pink-purple plates on its head.

Being caught sent us straight back to the cinema lobby (a “Lobby” title shows), so you have to ride the elevator to Floor 8 again.

We did not find the puzzle room, a table, any of the objects, any pedestal or a bridge on either ride. For the floor before this one, see how to get to Floor 7 and find its maze door.

Back in the hub on 30 October, the stone arch portal at the far end of the hub street was tagged “Warden”. Walking into it brings up a Teleport card that reads “You will leave the hub to enter Warden.”

We have not seen any of the following on screen. It is what other players report about the Floor 8 puzzle and its reward.

Floor 8 is reported to be the second-to-last floor, themed on Warden, and its entity is reported to be the Overseer.
The puzzle room is reported to spawn in a random spot; one player found it by keeping to the right side of the maze. As on Floor 7, the puzzle is said to cover the whole floor, not just the room.
Five object pedestals around the floor are reported to glow bright blue. The five objects, a Candle, a Skull, a Bottle, a Lantern and a Bell, are said to sit on a table just before a bridge in the puzzle room.
You can reportedly carry only one object at a time. Take each to its own pedestal and walk up to the pedestal to place it; one tip is to start with the pedestal closest to the puzzle room.
Placing the fifth object is reported to give the Floor 8 Relic. Carrying it back to the elevator reportedly gives the Rotten Pumpkin (a head accessory) and the badge.
Floor 8 is also reported to have a secret room whose pedestal is where the PETAPETA reward, the Ofuda Survival Kit, is claimed.
