Unlocking Secret Characters and Badges in FMR (Roblox)

Exact locations and conditions for the hidden Fredbear's Mega Roleplay characters, from Shadow Freddy to Toy Bonnie.

Exact locations and conditions for the hidden Fredbear’s Mega Roleplay characters, from Shadow Freddy to Toy Bonnie.

Secret characters in Fredbear’s Mega Roleplay are hidden unlocks tied to badges. Each one is earned by going to a specific place in the pizzeria, meeting a condition such as a time of day or a role, and interacting with the right object. Once you trigger it, a badge is awarded, and the matching character becomes playable. There are 50 of them in total, so the work is in knowing the exact spot and condition for each.

Quick answer: Pick a target character, switch to the role it needs (human, Chica, or a role with camera access), travel to its listed location, and interact with the object there. A sound effect plays, and the badge appears on screen when it works.

How the secret character badge system works

Every secret character is gated behind a badge. You do not buy these unlocks. You find them by being in the correct location and satisfying the condition the character requires. Some are simple single clicks, while others chain together puzzles, codes, or short minigames.

Three conditions show up again and again. The first is your role, since several characters only appear if you are a human or a specific animatronic. The second is in-game time, because a few only spawn during set hours such as 2:00 AM or the night window. The third is the server type, as public servers can randomize the position of buttons and objects, while a VIP Server keeps them fixed.

Note: A VIP Server costs 50 Robux and is worth using for any unlock that relies on buttons or keypads. In public servers, those buttons may spawn in different spots, including bathrooms, which makes the steps harder to follow.

Secret character locations and conditions

Use the table to find the exact spot and condition for each character. The Roman numeral is the order the character appears in the collection.

CharacterHow to unlock
Shadow Freddy (I)Go to the Parts & Service room, find the broken arcade lying down, and wait until 2:00 AM. Click the Shadow Freddy picture that appears.
Shadow Bonnie (II)Wait until 3:00 AM near the office table and TV. A VIP Server is recommended.
Shadow Chica (III)Play as Chica and collect 3 cupcakes during night hours (10:00 PM to 6:00 AM).
Spare Springbonnie (IV)Press 3 hidden buttons to open the rusted keypad door in Parts & Service, then click the mask. VIP Server recommended.
Shadow Springbonnie (V)Read the flashing-light code in Party Room 1, enter it on the keypad, then turn off 3 lights in the basement and click the suit by the elevator.
Breadbear (VI)In the kitchen, find the oven with bread on top and keep clicking it. One of the easiest badges.
Xor (VII)As a human, click the purple hat in the purple car, finish the wrecked-pizzeria minigame, start the night shift, and click Xor when the office burns.
Alter (VIII)As a human, drop into the sewer near the tunnel entrance, complete the obby, and click the smoke at the end.
ThirtyNine (IX)In the office, click the Bonnie nose among the 3 wall pictures and keep clicking.
Treasure Foxy (X)Find the randomly placed shovel, dig the dirt pile straight back from the pizzeria entrance, and click the treasure chest.
Withered Golden Freddy (XI)As a human with camera access, stand in front of the Fredbear poster outside the office, switch to your camera, then collect 6 tools and repair the animatronic in time.
Bite Fredbear & Bite Springbonnie (XII & XIII)As a human, collect 4 pizza slices, then free the crying child at the Spring Stage.
Toy Freddy (XIV)In the Prize Corner, boop the nose of the Toy Freddy plush on the left shelves.
Toy Bonnie (XV)At the Toy Stage / Birthday Hall, interact with the Toy Bonnie head until “FIND ME” appears, then continue to the Employees Only room near Party Room 2.

Unlock Bite Fredbear and Bite Springbonnie (pizza slices and the crying child)

This unlock awards two characters at once. You must be on a human role, then collect four pizza slices in order before freeing the crying child. Each slice plays a sound when picked up, which confirms it counted.

Spawn as a human and walk in through the entrance. Head a little further and turn left into Party Room 1, then interact with the pizza on the fourth chair from the front.
Go to the kitchen and interact with the pizza slice sitting on top of the fridge.
Move to the Arcade and grab the pizza slice between Freddy and Bonnie’s arcade machines.
Head to the Glamrock Corner and interact with the pizza in the corner of the table on the far right. That is the fourth and final slice.
Go to the Spring Stage, where the door is now open. Interact with the crying kid to free them and complete the unlock.

How to confirm a badge unlocked

You know an unlock worked when the badge notification appears on screen, usually with a short sound effect. For the pizza-slice characters, the sound confirms each pickup, and the badge pops after you free the crying child. After that, the new character is selectable in the animatronics menu.

Common reasons a secret character does not trigger

  • You are on the wrong role. Characters like Xor, Alter, and the Bite pair require a human, Shadow Chica requires Chica, and Withered Golden Freddy requires a role with camera access.
  • The in-game time is wrong. Shadow Freddy needs 2:00 AM, Shadow Bonnie needs 3:00 AM, and Shadow Chica’s cupcakes only count during the night window.
  • You are in a public server where buttons are randomized. For Spare Springbonnie, a button may spawn inside the bathrooms instead of its usual spot, so a VIP Server keeps the layout fixed.
  • You ran out of time in a minigame. Failing to collect the tools and repair Withered Golden Freddy ends in a jumpscare and sends you back, forcing a restart.

Work through the characters in any order you like, but match the role and time before you travel to each spot. Once the badge lands, the character stays unlocked and ready to use whenever you return to the pizzeria.
