Wardogs drops every new player into a training warehouse before it hands over the server browser, and the full run takes roughly 15 minutes. The tutorial itself is never presented as optional, but the game treats it as a live match, and matches can be left. That single detail is the whole trick.
Quick answer: Start the tutorial, wait about 15 seconds, then open the pause menu and choose LEAVE MATCH and confirm with YES. You will be returned to the title screen with DEPLOY unlocked on the main menu.
Why the Leave Match button is greyed out at first
Open the pause menu the instant you spawn and LEAVE MATCH will be there, greyed out with a countdown on it. Clicking it at that point does nothing. Wardogs applies the same short leave delay it uses in regular matches, so the button only becomes clickable once roughly 15 seconds have passed since the tutorial started.
You do not have to shoot the container edge, talk to the vendor, or complete any objective. The timer runs on its own whether you move or stand still.

How to confirm the skip worked
The confirmation is on the main menu itself. Before the skip, the start option sends you straight back into training. Afterwards, the menu shows DEPLOY alongside FIRING RANGE and LEARN TO PLAY, and Deploy opens the server browser.

If the menu still pushes you into the warehouse, the leave did not register and you left too early or backed out of the confirmation prompt. Re-enter, wait out the timer fully, and confirm with YES.
Note: the skip is tied to your install rather than your account, so a different PC will show you the tutorial again and you will need to repeat the process there.
Getting into a match after skipping
Select DEPLOY to bring up the server browser and pick a server that has players on it and a ping you can live with. Wardogs runs three-way battles for up to 100 players, so a populated server matters more than an empty one with perfect latency.
Next comes faction selection, where you choose between Lonestar, Valkyra, and Manticore. None of the three is mechanically stronger than the others; the choice decides which side you fight for, not what gear or roles you can buy.

The game then moves to the deployment screen, which reads CONTRACT.ACCEPTED while it connects you. Once that clears, you are in a live match with your starting $10,000 intact.

What the tutorial covers if you skip it
Skipping costs you nothing in cash or progression, but the training run is the only place the game walks you through its systems in a controlled setting. If you played the Beta, most of it will be familiar. If you did not, here is what you are stepping over.
| Tutorial segment | What it teaches |
|---|---|
| Equipment Vendor | Buying a primary weapon, magazines, backpack, helmet and body armor, and reading loadout weight and agility penalties |
| Weapons practice | Firing at targets, bullet penetration through wood, ricochet off metal containers, and throwing frag grenades |
| Medical | Manual hand revives, dragging a downed teammate to cover, the Field Resuscitator, and healing with a first aid kit |
| Objectives | How the Control Zone scores points and cash, and how the roaming Hot Zone doubles both |
| Downed state | Bleed-out timing, giving up, and waiting for a revive instead of respawning |
| Building | The build wheel, sandbag walls, deploying a FOB, and hammering Hesco blocks into place |

The LEARN TO PLAY option stays on the main menu after you skip, so nothing is permanently closed off. If you bail out now and find yourself lost on how revives, the Hot Zone, or building work, you can start the training match again later and take the full 15 minutes, or use the Firing Range to test weapons without pressure.
