Qingzhou arrived in Where Winds Meet version 2.3 with two Rogue Champions, which the game also lists under Heroes of the Four Seas. Both are in the Eastern Peak area. One is in a field outside a village. The other is on a beach you can only reach by going down a cliff. Each one is a single duel, and each pays out the same core reward bundle once you win.
Quick answer: Chu Yizhen stands in the grass field just north of Greenshade Village. Shen Hanyang appears on the beach below Cliffside Path, east of Wellspring Town, after you inspect the sword stuck in the sand.
| Rogue Champion | Area | Exact spot | How the fight starts |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chu Yizhen | Greenshade Village, Eastern Peak | Grassy clearing north of the village bazaar | Walk up to him |
| Shen Hanyang | Cliffside Path, Eastern Peak | Beach below the cliffs, east of Wellspring Town | Use “Inspect the sword” on the sand |
Both champions have markers on the world map. Open the map in Qingzhou and look for the Rogue Champion icon. Its event label reads “Rogue Champion: Jianghu – Event”, and the challenge is listed under Heroes of the Four Seas.
Chu Yizhen location: Greenshade Village
Chu Yizhen is the easier of the two to reach. His in-game description calls him a young man with a terrible tolerance for alcohol who keeps drinking to keep up with the locals’ hospitality. Your job is to snap him out of it. On the map, his marker sits at Greenshade Village in Qingzhou Eastern Peak.

Head to the village and cross its northern edge into the open grassland past the bazaar. He stands out in the field. Walking up to him starts the duel automatically. A stall table nearby also has a Wine Gourd interaction tied to him, which starts the same encounter.

The fight is an ordinary one-on-one duel with no special mechanic to solve, so any build works. Once you drain his health bar, a short dialogue plays in which he admits he is embarrassed about the drinking. The rewards are added after that.

Reaching Shen Hanyang requires extra effort; he won’t be found idling in place, so you need to trigger his encounter. His profile describes an eccentric elder of uncertain origins, determined to wait for somebody, and cautions that meddling in his “mortal confrontations” can leave you injured. The weapons on the beach are part of those encounters.

Qingzhou Rogue Champion rewards
Both champions give out the same base bundle. Shen Hanyang also hands over one quest item.
| Reward | Chu Yizhen | Shen Hanyang |
|---|---|---|
| Lingering Melody | x1 | x1 |
| Coin | +3600 | +3600 |
| Stored EXP | +3600 | +3600 |
| Ebon-Iron material | Yes | Yes |
| Qingzhou Exploration | +10 | +10 |
| Stone Shard with a Thumb Carving | No | x1 |
The Ebon-Iron drop has shown up as Ebon-Iron: Fist Blade in some clears and Ebon Iron: Ever Flame in others. Expect one Ebon-Iron upgrade material, but the exact type may not match what another player got.
You can tell each challenge counted when three things happen. The duel ends on a Victory screen. The champion’s post-fight dialogue plays. The reward notifications appear on the left side of the screen, including the +10 Qingzhou Exploration entry. For Shen Hanyang, you should also find the Stone Shard with a Thumb Carving in your inventory. Once both have been beaten, Qingzhou’s Rogue Champion list for version 2.3 is done.
