Road to Redemption overview
Road to Redemption is a Wandering Tale in Where Winds Meet that links Qinghe’s Halo Peak with the Bodhi Sea combat zone. There are no quest markers, so the quest hinges on two things:
- Locating the monk Daohui on Halo Peak.
- Finding the quest item “Illegible Final Note” in the Bodhi Sea and bringing it back.
Finishing the tale awards Echo Jade, coins, Qinghe exploration progress, experience, and a Polished Mirror player avatar.

Where to find the Illegible Final Note in Bodhi Sea
The entire quest turns on a single scroll: the Illegible Final Note. It lies in Yongfu Temple at the heart of the Bodhi Sea combat zone and can be easy to miss among enemies and ruins.

Exact Illegible Final Note location
Yongfu Temple has several ruined structures, but the note is placed at the front of the central building.

Pick up the Illegible Final Note to flag it as a quest item. No additional interaction is needed in Bodhi Sea; the tale continues once you return to Halo Peak.

How Road to Redemption ties into Bodhi Sea
Daohui’s regret points back to the Pagoda of Karmaful Karma at Yongfu Temple, which doubles as the centerpiece of the Bodhi Sea campaign. If you have already cleared that combat zone and unlocked its teleport, Road to Redemption becomes a quick cleanup objective that reuses a familiar location.
If you have not yet entered Bodhi Sea, the Wandering Tale effectively nudges you toward that region, forcing you to pick a safe route across the swamp, learn the layout of Yongfu Temple, and notice details like Assist Signposts and Wind Sense cues to find small quest items.
There are no extra bosses or additional fights required exclusively for this tale. Any combat you meet in Bodhi Sea is part of the zone’s normal enemy population or campaign encounters, not a dedicated Road to Redemption step.
Once Road to Redemption is finished, Daohui’s vigil at Halo Peak ends, your Qinghe exploration increases, and Bodhi Sea becomes a little easier to navigate for future quests that also point back at Yongfu Temple.
