Apple may have included the eSIM technology to the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone Xr, but the truth is eSIM is only vaguely supported at the moment in the United States and the rest of the world.

At the time of this writing, eSIM is only supported by three wireless carriers in the United States:

  • AT&T
  • T-Mobile USA
  • Verizon Wireless

That’s three out of the four major wireless carriers in the States. Sprint currently doesn’t offer eSIM, but that could change by the time Apple releases a software update for using eSIM on iPhone XS, XS Max, and iPhone XR.
