Quick answer: Find Maraudon on Desolace’s west side, northeast of Shadowprey Village and close to the coast. The game suggests starting at level 42 or above.
Where is Maraudon?
The nearest flight path depends on your faction. Both distances below are straight lines, not walking routes.
- Horde: Shadowprey Village is the closest flight path in Desolace. The entrance is northeast of it.
- Alliance: Nijel’s Point in Desolace is the closest Alliance flight path. The entrance is southwest of it.
Maraudon level, group size and faction
Both factions can enter any dungeon. When a dungeon sits in the other faction’s territory, you have a longer trip through hostile land to reach it.
Maraudon bosses
Maraudon has eight bosses, and Princess Theradras is the last one.
- Noxxion
- Razorlash
- Tinkerer Gizlock
- Lord Vyletongue
- Celebras the Cursed
- Landslide
- Rotgrip
- Princess Theradras
Since a Blizzard hotfix on 6 November 2026, Zaetar’s Spirit spawns once Princess Theradras is dead.
Legacy achievement
Clearing Maraudon counts toward Master Spelunker, whose in-game text reads “Complete the following dungeons.” To count a dungeon for this Legacy Challenge, you have to defeat its final boss, which here is Princess Theradras. Finishing the achievement awards 1 Legacy Point, which you can put toward the best Legacy talents.
| Achievement | Dungeons to complete | Reward |
|---|---|---|
Master Spelunker | Razorfen Downs, Uldaman, Zul'Farrak, Maraudon, Alcaz Prison, The Temple of Atal'Hakkar, Blackrock Depths, Lower Blackrock Spire, Upper Blackrock Spire, Scholomance, Stratholme: Live, Stratholme: Dead, Dire Maul: East, Dire Maul: North, Dire Maul: West, The Shaper's Terrace, Blackmaw Hold | 1 Legacy Point |
Dungeons to run before and after
In leveling order, two dungeons come before Maraudon and two come after it. The full order is in the WoW Forever dungeons by level list.
- Before: Krol’dok Stronghold (40-45) and Zul’Farrak (42+)
- After: Sunken Temple (45+) and Blackrock Depths (48+)
