Quick answer: For leveling, take Talented, Well Rested and Frequent Flier. For professions, take Working Overtime, Dedicated Study and Bountiful Harvest. For raids, take Reagent Economy and Permanence. For PvP, take For Great Honor.

World of Warcraft: Forever gives every character a small pool of Legacy Points to spend on account-earned perks. The cap is low, so each point needs to save you time on whatever you are doing with that character. Each build below (our picks) spends the full 16 points a character can use.

Leveling

  • Talented (1)
  • Well Rested (5)
  • Frequent Flier (1)
  • Thrill of Adventure (5)
  • Reagent Economy (1, for classes that use reagents)
  • Gourmand (3)

Talented lets you spend talent points beginning at level 5 rather than level 10, giving your character an earlier boost for one point. Well Rested speeds up rested experience accumulation and increases its storage limit. Frequent Flier cuts flight-path fares in half and makes the trip faster. Thrill of Adventure restores Health and Mana when you land a killing blow in the open world, reducing downtime between pulls.

Professions and gold

  • Working Overtime (5)
  • Dedicated Study (1)
  • Bountiful Harvest (5)
  • Bartering (2)
  • Performance Bonus (3)

Working Overtime and Dedicated Study increase skill gains across all tradeskills. At rank one, Bountiful Harvest makes Scarce materials twice as likely to turn up through Mining, Herbalism and Skinning. Bartering lowers vendor prices. Performance Bonus benefits crate turn-ins to the Azeroth Commerce Authority and Durotar Supply and Logistics, two factions that provide a major source of new tradeskill activities.

Dungeons and raids

  • Reagent Economy (1)
  • Permanence (2)
  • Gourmand (3)
  • Reinforce (5)
  • Diplomat (5)

Reagent Economy removes vendor reagents from your class abilities, so you stop restocking before every run. Permanence makes your long party and raid buffs last 100% longer and stretches camp rest benefits by 50%. Gourmand extends food buffs, Reinforce cuts durability loss on wipes, and Diplomat speeds up reputation gains.

PvP

  • For Great Honor (5)
  • The Quick and the Dead (2)
  • High Alert (2)
  • Reagent Economy (1)
  • Permanence (2)
  • Gourmand (3)
  • Frequent Flier (1)

For Great Honor increases the Honor you earn, the core resource for PvP. The Quick and the Dead helps you return to combat sooner after dying, while your helpful spells cost nothing for a brief time after resurrection. High Alert helps reveal Stealth targets in the open world, but has no effect in Battlegrounds.

Professions tree

The Professions tree offers perks for crafting, gathering and vendors: Master Chef, Working Overtime, Bartering, Dedicated Study, Bountiful Harvest, Performance Bonus and Luremaster. At rank one, Master Chef gives cooking recipes a 30% chance to yield one additional result. When a Lure is active, Luremaster gives you a 50% chance of landing one extra fish. Once you have 300 skill in both Primary Tradeskills and all three Secondary Tradeskills, Dedicated Study grants 2 to 4 of a randomly selected Elemental Essence instead of a skill point.

How Legacy Points work

You earn Legacy Points across your whole account by completing Legacy Challenges. There are 65 challenges, and each one is worth one point. Every non-Hardcore character can use these points, but each character spends them separately across the Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness trees. The Legacy system in WoW Forever caps each character at 16 spent points at launch.

Your account total also unlocks cosmetic rewards at these milestones:

  • 15 points: Replica Ironforge Air Rifle toy
  • 25 points: Spectral Bear Cub pet
  • 40 points: Spectral Bear Tabard
  • 55 points: Reins of the Spectral Bear mount

FAQ

Can you reset Legacy perks?

Yes. Right-click any learned perk to unlearn it, then spend the point somewhere else.

What is the best single Legacy perk for leveling?

Talented is the best value because it takes only one rank. Well Rested is the other strong choice if you log off often enough to build rested experience.
