Quick answer: Set on the northeastern edge of Tirisfal Glades, Scarlet Monastery accommodates five players. The game’s suggested minimum level is 30, and High Inquisitor Whitemane closes out its roster of seven bosses.

In World of Warcraft: Forever, Scarlet Monastery is one of the dungeons in the low 30s. It sits deep in Horde land, so the trip there looks very different depending on which faction you play.

Where is Scarlet Monastery?

The entrance is near the Western Plaguelands at the northeastern edge of Tirisfal Glades. On the Tirisfal Glades map, check the upper-right area to find the dungeon marker.

Each faction has a different flight path as its nearest starting point. The distances below are straight lines on the map, not walking routes, so the path on the ground may twist around terrain.

  • Horde players should fly to Undercity, Tirisfal, then head northeast to the entrance.
  • Alliance players should fly to Chillwind Camp, Western Plaguelands, then head north to the entrance.

Because the dungeon is in Horde territory, Alliance groups have a longer journey through hostile ground before they reach the door.

Scarlet Monastery level and group size

The game recommends level 30 and up for starting Scarlet Monastery. That is the level to aim for before you form a group. Scarlet Monastery is built for a group of 5 players.

Both factions can run it, even though it sits on the Horde side of the map. Dungeon bosses are also where the advanced profession camp-feature Blueprints drop, at skill 140 and 300. That makes boss kills worth more than experience alone.

Scarlet Monastery bosses

Legacy achievement

Scarlet Monastery counts toward the Experienced Spelunker achievement, whose game text reads “Complete the following dungeons.” It rewards 1 Legacy Point, which feeds into your Legacy talents. The achievement lists the Graveyard, Library, Armory and Cathedral as four separate entries, each finished on its own by defeating its final boss, alongside City of Dalaran, The Drowned City, Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan, Razorfen Kraul and Krol’dok Stronghold.
