Zhuang Fangyi's gear kit is locked around one goal: multiplying the damage of Mantra of Sundering, her Battle Skill. The Xiranflow four-slot set rewards her for consuming Electrification, which is exactly what her rotation does on repeat. Pair it with a single off-piece that pushes her Will stat higher, and the build does most of the work for her.
Endgame gear loadout
The Xiranflow set gives her a 10 percent flat ATK bonus and, more importantly, stacks Electric and Nature damage every time she consumes Electrification or Corrosion. Each stack adds 15 percent Electric DMG Dealt for 25 seconds, up to three stacks. Because her Battle Skill consumes Electrification on nearly every cast, she sits at full stacks for most of a fight.

LYNX Slab is the off-piece of choice because Will is her main attribute, and the 20.7 percent Main Attribute multiplier converts directly into more damage. Dropping a second Xiranflow Baton for LYNX Slab loses some Battle Skill DMG but gains more raw Will scaling, which usually nets out ahead.
Ultimate gain variant
If her Ultimate feels sluggish in longer fights, swap Xiranflow Light Armor for Bonekrusha Poncho T1 and put a second Xiranflow Baton back in the Kit I slot. Bonekrusha Poncho T1 provides Will +87 and Ultimate Gain Efficiency +12.3 percent, speeding up Smiting Tempest casts at the cost of some burst damage.

This configuration is worth considering against single bosses with long health bars, where more frequent Empyrean of Truth windows matter more than peak burst per window.

Suppression is specifically the weapon skill on Lone Barge, her signature weapon. It stacks to two charges after her Battle Skill consumes an Arts Reaction, then adds another 112 percent Battle Skill Electric DMG for 25 seconds when she casts her Ultimate. That single effect makes Lone Barge her best-in-slot by a comfortable margin.
Early game gear
Before the Xiranflow set drops, the Mordvolt Insulation set bridges the gap. The four-piece effect grants Intellect +50 and Arts DMG +20 percent while her HP stays above 80 percent, which fits Zhuang Fangyi's typical on-field pattern.

Pair this set with the five-star Monaihe weapon for its Will and Ultimate Gain essences. It is a temporary build, but it covers her main stat needs until you can farm a clean Xiranflow set.
Why this build works
Her Battle Skill creates Sunderblades based on the Electrification level it consumes, up to three per cast and nine on the field at once. Each Sunderblade adds a Thunder Strike to the next Battle Skill, so Battle Skill DMG scaling is the single most valuable stat line she can stack.
The Xiranflow set effect triggers on Electrification consumption, Lone Barge triggers on Arts Reaction consumption, and the Xiranflow Baton directly boosts Battle Skill DMG by 41.4 percent. All three effects fire from the same action, which is why her damage scales so cleanly without needing complex timing on your part.
Will is her main attribute, so every piece in the build stacks Will as a secondary goal. LYNX Slab amplifies that further through its Main Attribute +20.7 percent bonus, which is the reason it beats a second Xiranflow Baton in most damage calculations despite losing some set synergy.
How to tell the build is working
Inside Empyrean of Truth, her first Battle Skill should generate three Sunderblades for free, with no SP or Electrification cost. If you are running Xiranflow plus Lone Barge correctly, subsequent casts should display the stacked buff icons for Xiranflow's Electric DMG stacks and Lone Barge's Battle Skill Electric DMG bonus at the same time.
If the Xiranflow stacks are not appearing, check that your Battle Skill is actually consuming Electrification — casting it against a target with no Electrification will summon one Sunderblade but skip the consumption trigger, and the set effect will not fire.
