Ghost Recon Wildlands Last Rites: How to Complete Vow of Silence

Snatch the high-level cultist alive next to the mortar and interrogate him without tripping the traps that guard the grain facility.

Snatch the high-level cultist alive next to the mortar and interrogate him without tripping the traps that guard the grain facility.

Vow of Silence is one of two objectives that open up after Deadly Obsession in the Ghost Recon Wildlands: Last Rites campaign, and it can be tackled in either order alongside And Your Enemies Closer. Agent Price needs more intel on La Llorona, and this stop delivers it by forcing a high-ranking cultist to talk. The catch is that the target must stay alive, and the base around him is rigged to punish a careless approach.

Quick answer: Reach the grain facility, disarm the tripwires as you move up the left-side walkway, use Sync Shot on the three enemies in the room below the target, throw a flashbang to stun the high-level cultist by the mortar, grab him alive, drag him out of enemy range, and interrogate him.

Where the target is and what to expect

The mission plays out at a grain facility held by La Llorona’s cultists. If you cleared And Your Enemies Closer first, it is a short drive away. There are no drone jammers here, so you can scout the whole compound freely before committing.

The high-level cultist waits at the back of the base, next to a mortar on the exterior of the second floor. He is protected by tripwires and bear traps scattered across the ground, plus extra fire support stationed in the room directly below his position. Because the objective is an interrogation, killing him restarts the mission.

Note: Going in loud is possible, but the cultist will try to shell you with the mortar. A quiet infiltration is the safer route to keep him alive.

Interrogate the high-level cultist

Recon the base with your drone before entering. Mark the patrolling enemies on the outskirts, then have your AI teammates take out the stragglers and hold position while you go in alone.
Take the path that wraps around the left side of the large building. Move slowly and disarm the tripwires along the route as you inch forward so you do not set off an alarm.

When you reach the walkway on the left side, stop and pull out the drone again. Check the room below the cultist, which holds three enemies. Tag all three and use Sync Shot to drop them together, which should keep your cover intact.

Climb the walkway and approach the corner near the cultist. Switch to a flashbang and throw it close to him to stun and disorient him. This lets you grab him without him fighting back or triggering the mortar.
Grab the cultist and pull him away from his position. Since the base likely still has a few live enemies, lead him somewhere outside their line of sight before you start questioning him. Once the interrogation finishes, Vow of Silence is complete.

Confirming completion and common mistakes

You know the mission is done when the interrogation prompt resolves and the objective clears, sending you back to Price with the intel she wanted. From there you can move on to And Your Enemies Closer if you have not already finished it.

The two most common ways the mission fails come down to the target and the traps.

ProblemHow to avoid it
Cultist diesNever shoot or grenade the target directly. Use a flashbang to stun him, then grab him alive for the interrogation.
Cover blown by trapsDisarm tripwires and watch for bear traps on the ground as you advance up the left walkway.
Mortar fire from the targetStay quiet and reach him before he reacts. A loud fight gives him time to man the mortar.

Keep your teammates parked on the outskirts to soak up any patrol that wanders in, deal with the trio below the cultist first, and the grab itself is straightforward. With the cultist talking, you are one step closer to tracking down La Llorona in the Last Rites campaign.
