Magic Loot Beginner’s Guide: Best Potions and How to Farm Power

Which spells to brew at each stage, how to build Power fast, and how player-to-player gifting stands in for trading.

Magic Loot is a Roblox dungeon crawler built around a simple loop of training your Power, clearing stages of enemies, and selling the loot you pick up for Coins. The early stages feel forgiving, but the moment enemies start hitting harder, the wrong spell loadout will stall you. Getting your two spell slots filled with the right potions, then spending Coins in the correct order, is what separates a smooth climb from a grind.

Quick answer: Run Fire Arrow + Water Orb for stages 1-4, switch to Dragon Breath + Thunder-thunder (or Wood Thorn for healing) through stages 5-12, then stack Radiant Sword twice and add Sheepy at Rebirth 10. Farm Power well above each Rebirth requirement, sell everything except your best potion ingredients, and buy Wands before Armor.

Best Magic Loot potions for each stage

Your Wand Power decides whether you can hurt enemies at all, but spells are what clear a stage quickly. You start with two free spell slots, and you want both filled as early as possible. As enemies get tougher, you swap in stronger potions. Here is the setup that carries you cleanly from the opening stages into the mid game.

StagesRecommended potionsWhy it works
1-4Fire Arrow + Water OrbBoth hit multiple targets and prioritize damage. Available at Rebirth 1.
5-12Dragon Breath + Thunder-thunderDragon Breath deals heavy damage in a fan shape; Thunder-thunder stuns groups so you can back away.
5-12 (safer)Dragon Breath + Wood ThornSwap Thunder-thunder for Wood Thorn when you need healing on top of damage.

Healing is not a priority in the first four stages, so lean fully into damage there. The Dragon Breath pairing will take you a long way, but it starts to struggle around the Lava Behemoth. If you lack the ingredients or Rebirth level for anything better at that point, keep Wood Thorn in the second slot for the extra survivability.

Filling the Potions tab in the Collection Index grants extra backpack storage.

Potions come from the Alchemy station, where each recipe needs two ingredients that drop from dungeon enemies and bosses. Fire Arrow, for example, needs a Blueberry and a Withered Mushroom. Because potions are consumables, you have to keep farming those materials to keep a supply on hand. Crafting them also fills your Collection Index, and every milestone you hit there raises your backpack storage limit by one slot.

How to change spells in Magic Loot

Swapping a spell is not obvious, and the Unlock button will not help. That button only opens a third slot for Robux. To replace a spell in a slot you already have, drink the potion for the spell you want to equip. A “Replace Skill” button then appears above both of your current spells. Pick the one you want to get rid of, and the new spell takes its place.

You know it worked when the old spell icon is replaced by the new one in your hotbar. If nothing changes, you likely closed the prompt before choosing which slot to overwrite. Drink the potion again and select a slot.

Best potions at Rebirth 10

By Rebirth 10 you should be clearing stages 12-17 and dealing damage in the trillions. If you are just entering this range, stack Radiant Sword in both slots. It is an extremely strong spell, and crafting its potion twice is not difficult. Doubling up on it gives you enough raw clearing power to hold these stages.

For the later stages, one of the strongest options overall is the Sheepy Potion, which turns enemies into harmless sheep you can pick off freely. It converts targets one at a time, so treat it as a single-target spell rather than an area attack. Even removing one enemy at the start of a fight is a real advantage, and it becomes far better once a whole group is transformed.

How to farm Power quickly

Raising Power is the whole point of Magic Loot. Every spell you cast adds Power, but the fastest climbers spend Coins and Rebirth with intent. The core strategy is to push your Power and Level well past the current Rebirth requirement rather than resetting the moment you qualify. Rebirth applies a permanent multiplier to both your Power and your Coin gain, so reset whenever it becomes available, but build a buffer first.

Once you are strong enough to clear high-value stages, farm only the materials you need for your best potions and sell everything else. Those Coins should go straight into upgrading your Wand and Armor. Selling aggressively is what keeps your upgrade pace fast, since a better Wand means better loot, which loops back into more Coins.

Before a run, drink a Lucky Potion. It raises your odds of pulling Legendary, Mythic, and other rare loot that sells for far more. Watch the board next to the Teleport as well, since it shows the respawn timer for Legendary, Mythic, and Secret Elites in the early stages. A server-wide notification also warns you when they are about to appear.

Wand purchase order

You do not need to buy every Wand. Following a tight upgrade path is what reaches trillions of Power in only a couple of hours. Buy these in order and skip anything not on the list until endgame, when spare earnings let you fill in the rest.

  • Ice Crystal Wand
  • Pink Diamond Wand

When to buy Armor

Armor applies a Power multiplier, so it matters, but it costs far more than Wands and you will not swap it often. Skip Apprentice armor and go straight for Lunar Armor and its 1.4x multiplier, buying it right after you pick up the Ice Crystal Wand. Keep the Wand as your top priority and grab the remaining Armor pieces only once their cost is easy to grind out.

How to teleport to later stages

You cannot teleport at all without a broom. Once you unlock the first one, it takes you straight to Stage 4, and nowhere else. New teleport points do not open up as you clear stages or gain Power. Instead, you unlock farther destinations by buying better brooms.

Two of the brooms are sold for Robux, but you can skip both. Later brooms also unlock all the earlier teleport points, so there is no need to spend money to fill in the gaps.

Cheesing enemies and bosses

Many stages let you cheese fights by climbing onto a rock or platform where enemies cannot reach you, then firing spells down safely. This does not work everywhere, but a lot of the higher stages allow it.

The exception is The Lava Behemoth on Stage 13. This boss can still hit you even on high ground, so the platform trick fails here. Deal with it by running backwards while casting spells, keeping distance to dodge its attacks.

How trading works in Magic Loot

There is no trading plaza and no built-in trade mechanic. Trades happen by agreement, either in the in-game chat or on the Magic Loot Discord server, after which one player gifts the items to the other. Because there is no locked exchange, nothing forces the other side to hold up their end, so scams are a real risk.

To reduce that risk, the Discord uses a vouching system. After a completed trade, both players vouch for each other, and a player with more vouches is more trustworthy to deal with. Check a potential trading partner’s vouches before you commit.

Coins cannot be traded at all. The only workaround for exchanging gold is to gift an item so the other player can sell it themselves. Only attempt that if you know the exact value of both your item and theirs, otherwise it is easy to come out behind.

Stick to this loadout and spending order and the early hours of Magic Loot move fast: damage-first potions early, Radiant Sword and Sheepy once you hit Rebirth 10, Wands ahead of Armor, and a Lucky Potion before every run to keep the rare loot flowing.
