Fisch: How to Complete the Outer Deep Bestiary (All 21 Entries)

Every bait, weather, time, and season requirement for the 19 fish and two crates in the Outer Deep.

Every bait, weather, time, and season requirement for the 19 fish and two crates in the Outer Deep.

The Outer Deep bestiary in Fisch holds 21 entries in total, split between 19 fish and items and two crates. Each fish has its own combination of bait, weather, time of day, and season, so finishing the collection is less about luck and more about lining up the right conditions before you cast. Below are the exact requirements for every entry, plus the fastest way to work through them.

Quick answer: Catch the two crates and the Broken Flashlight first with Magnet bait (no conditions needed), then group the remaining fish by matching season, weather, and time so you can clear several entries in one setting before changing the environment again.

How to reach the Outer Deep fishing spots

Start at the main marker in the Deep and leave the temple. Swim to the right and look for a small pocket of land on the right-hand side. That land marks the Outer Deep fishing area where every bestiary entry can be caught.

All 19 Outer Deep fish and item requirements

Some entries can be caught with either a rod or a harpoon, while others are rod-only. Match the bait to the fish and use totems if you need to force a specific weather or time before casting.

The two Outer Deep crates

Two of the 21 entries are crates rather than fish. The Aquatic Tackle Box and the Deep Tackle Box both count toward completion, and neither one needs a specific weather, time, or season. Equip Magnet bait and fish them up whenever you like.

Fastest order to clear the bestiary

Catch the entries with no environmental requirements first. That means both crates and the Broken Flashlight, all three with Magnet bait. You can pull these in any weather, so they get out of the way immediately.

Sort the remaining fish by season. Many entries share the same season, so setting the world to Winter, Spring, Summer, or Autumn lets you knock out several fish before switching. Keep the matching baits stocked so you never stop to farm mid-run.
Within each season, group by weather and time. Line up all the Foggy/Night fish together, then the Clear/Day fish, and so on. Use totems to force the weather or time you need instead of waiting for it to cycle naturally.

Tip: A few conditions overlap neatly. Trench Grubs cover both the Mero Goby and the Papillated Redbait, Crustacean Mix covers the Formosa Seabass and the Nkosi Pygmy Pipehorse, and Luminous Flakes covers the Japanese Linebelly Swallower and the Pacific Hatchetfish. Bring extra of those baits to double up.

How to confirm the bestiary is complete

The Outer Deep bestiary reads as finished once all 21 entries are logged, the 19 fish and items plus the two crates. If an entry still shows as missing, check the exact bait first, then the weather, time, and season, since a single mismatched condition is the most common reason a fish will not bite. Force the missing condition with a totem and cast again with the correct bait to fill the last slot.
