GTA Online VIP Work: 5X GTA$ and RP From August 21 to 23

A 72-hour multiplier turns SecuroServ Freemode jobs into the fastest money in Los Santos this week.

A 72-hour multiplier turns SecuroServ Freemode jobs into the fastest money in Los Santos this week.

VIP Work is paying five times its normal GTA$ and RP in GTA Online, but only for three days rather than the usual full week. The multiplier sits inside the ongoing Brand Wars event, which runs through August 26, 2026, and it applies to the SecuroServ Freemode jobs you launch as a VIP or CEO.

Quick answer: Register as a VIP or CEO from the Interaction Menu, open SecuroServ, and complete VIP Work between August 21 and August 23, 2026 to collect 5X GTA$ and RP on every payout.

When the 5X VIP Work bonus is active

The bonus window is 72 hours long and does not stretch across the rest of the event week. Everything else in the current rotation stays live until the weekly reset on August 26, so the VIP Work multiplier is the one item on a shorter clock.

How to start VIP Work in GTA Online

Open the Interaction Menu in a public session and register as either a VIP or a CEO. Both roles unlock the same job list, so pick whichever you already qualify for.
Go back into the Interaction Menu and select the SecuroServ option. VIP Work appears as its own submenu underneath it.
Choose a job and launch it. Any Bodyguards or Associates in your Organization get a text or on-screen prompt regardless of how far away they are, so they can join without meeting up first.
Finish the job and check the end-of-mission payout. If the multiplier applied, the cash and RP totals land at five times the standard reward, which is the clearest confirmation that it worked.

What the 5X multiplier is worth

Headhunter is the clearest example of the difference. The job asks you to eliminate four marked targets and normally pays somewhere in the region of $20,000 to $30,000. With the multiplier live, a single run lands closer to $100,000 to $150,000.

Payout rules still work the way they always do. A rival Organization that swoops in and finishes your job takes 70 percent of the GTA$ and RP, and that money only goes to the player who actually ended the mode. Bodyguards pass their share to their VIP, minus a 10 percent cut to SecuroServ. Participation pay is separate, worth GTA$500 and 100 RP per minute, and Bodyguards keep that portion outright.

Every VIP Work job covered by the bonus

Seventeen jobs sit under the SecuroServ menu, and the multiplier covers the set. Objectives range from short delivery runs to full Organization-versus-Organization fights, so the fastest earners will be whichever ones you can finish cleanly and repeat.

A few of these have quirks worth remembering. In Sightseer, only the VIP can use the hacking app to find packages, and the job ends immediately if the VIP dies. Hostile Takeover puts a wanted level on you once the package is in hand and makes you visible to every player on the map. Executive Search runs on a 10-minute survival timer and pushes the hidden VIP onto the radar if they stay still too long.

Other GTA$ and RP bonuses running to August 26

Rockstar pushed two weekly updates back to back and overlapped the bonuses, so most of what follows carried over rather than arriving fresh. All of it expires with the August 26 reset.

Weekly completion bonuses have also reset across the applicable Heists and Missions, meaning the larger first-time payouts are available again.

Why the bonus may not apply

There are only a handful of reasons the payout comes in flat. You are outside the August 21 to 23 window. You are running a mission from a different series rather than VIP Work under SecuroServ. Or a rival Organization ended the job, in which case the reduced 70 percent share goes to them instead of you.

Note: the multiplier applies to the job rewards themselves, not to Associate or Bodyguard salary payments, which are handled separately.

Brand Wars itself continues alongside all of this until August 26, with Team Sprunk and Team eCola rewards, free bodysuits at Clothing Stores, and a free Declasse Hotring Sabre. But the VIP Work multiplier is the short-lived piece. Once August 23 ends, those jobs drop back to standard rates.
