Fourteen NPCs are scattered across the Chapter 7 Season 4 island, and each one does exactly one job for you. Some top up your ammo, some hand you 100 health or shields, some open a Rift, and three of them can be hired to follow you around for the rest of the match. Knowing which is which before you jump off the Battle Bus saves you a long walk with a full wallet.
Quick answer: Bring 500 Gold Bars for any healing, ammo, or Rift service, or 350 Gold Bars to hire one of the three Specialists (The Order, The Guardian, The Singularity).
NPC services and Gold Bar costs in Chapter 7 Season 4
There are only four things an NPC will do for you this season, and the pricing is flat. Eleven characters sell a one-off service for 500 Gold Bars each. The remaining three are Specialists, and they cost 350 Gold Bars to hire.
| Service | Cost | Who offers it |
|---|---|---|
| Max Out Ammo | 500 Gold Bars | Wrixel, The Innovation Slone, K1ttyW1ns, Peak Scout |
| Gain 100 Health or Shields | 500 Gold Bars | Phantom, The Prophecy Hope, Grace Crowne, Mali |
| Activate Rift | 500 Gold Bars | Bastian, Sonic the Hedgehog, Vengeance Jones |
| Hire a Specialist | 350 Gold Bars | The Order, The Guardian, The Singularity |
The service fires the moment you pay. Ammo purchases refill every stack in your inventory, the health option pushes you up by 100 points, and a Rift spawns above the NPC for you to jump into. If nothing happens, you did not have the full amount of Gold Bars on you.
The three Specialists you can hire for 350 Gold Bars
Specialists are the only NPCs that stay with you after the transaction. Once hired, they trail your character and keep providing their support until they are taken out or the match ends. You can confirm a hire worked when the character starts moving with you instead of returning to their idle spot.
| NPC | Specialist type | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| The Order | Scout | Helps you spot threats and track activity around your position |
| The Guardian | Medic | Keeps health support coming during fights |
| The Singularity | Supply | Feeds you ammunition through the match |
Note: The Guardian sits in Stone Sanctum, which also has two service NPCs nearby, so it is the cheapest place to leave with both a Medic and a full health bar.
Every NPC location on the Chapter 7 Season 4 map
The roster spreads across the whole island, with clusters around Shaken Sanctuary and Stone Sanctum and a few outliers on the edges. Green Hill Zone, the Sonic the Hedgehog area added this season, has its own resident.

Drop zones with several NPCs in walking distance
Two areas let you hit multiple NPCs without crossing half the map, which matters when the storm is already closing and you are sitting on spare Gold Bars.
Shaken Sanctuary holds three of them. Wrixel is tucked inside a small building to the northwest, The Prophecy Hope waits by a pond, and Grace Crowne stands to the west. Between them you can walk out with a full ammo count and a health top-up. The trade-off is traffic, since it is a popular early drop and contested landings are common.
Stone Sanctum is the better mid-game stop. Bastian sells a Rift by the central tower, The Guardian hires out as a Medic near the large swirl, and Mali sits just northeast of the point for healing. That is an escape route, a follower, and a health boost in one loop, provided you arrive with at least 1,350 Gold Bars for all three.
Fourteen is the count as Override goes live, and it is not a fixed number. Epic Games routinely folds new characters onto the island mid-season alongside crossover drops, so the roster is likely to grow before Chapter 7 Season 4 wraps. If you only commit three spots to memory, make them Shaken Sanctuary, Stone Sanctum, and whichever Specialist matches how you play.
