How to Fish: How to Get to the Fourth Island (Casino Island)

Casino Island is the fourth destination in How to Fish, and it stays locked until you clear one specific fight. The island sits far to the north of the starting beach and does not appear on your radar by default. You need to earn its coordinates before a speedboat can take you there.

Quick answer: Hand an endangered fish (a Seahorse, Bowfish, or Needlefish works) to the injured NPC sitting under the palm tree on the beach to start the pufferfish boss fight. Defeat the boss, then drive a speedboat straight north to reach Casino Island.

What you need before you go

Two things gate access to the fourth island. First, you must have an endangered fish in your collection to trigger the boss. Second, you need the boss defeated so the island’s coordinates appear on your radar. Until both are done, sailing north leads nowhere.

Any of the higher-value catches count as the endangered fish the injured NPC is looking for. These are the ones most commonly used to start the fight.

Tip: Equipping a larger motor before you set off makes the trip north noticeably faster, since the island is a long way out.

Trigger the pufferfish boss fight

Catch or select an endangered fish from your collection. Open your fish menu with the collection key to confirm you are holding one of the qualifying species before you approach the NPC.

Walk to the injured NPC seated under the palm tree on the beach and use the Talk [E] prompt. Give the endangered fish when asked. This starts the pufferfish boss encounter.

Defeat the pufferfish boss. Once it goes down, the coordinates for the fourth island are added to your radar, which is what lets you navigate there.

Sail north to Casino Island

Board your speedboat and use the Drive [E] prompt to take the wheel. Point the boat straight north, away from the starting beach.

Keep heading north. After a stretch of open water, the fourth island comes into view in the distance. Aim the boat toward it and hold your course.

Dock the boat at the island and walk up the stairs. The ramp leads directly to the Lucky Bait Casino entrance.

How to know you made it

You have arrived when the Lucky Bait Casino sign appears at the top of the stairs and you can walk inside. The interior holds the gambling mini-games that define the island, so seeing them confirms the destination unlocked correctly.

If the island never shows on your radar or the northward trip leads to empty water, the pufferfish boss has not been beaten yet. The coordinates only unlock after the fight is won, so return to the injured NPC on the beach, hand over an endangered fish, and clear the boss before trying the journey again.
