Grand Theft Auto VI puts a lot of stuff between its missions. The extended gameplay reveal cut away from crime often enough to show button prompts, score counters, and lap timers for the things Jason and Lucia do on their days off, and those HUD elements tell you more about how the side content works than any list of screenshots could.

These are the activities that appear as playable moments rather than scenery, each one carrying its own interface. Every entry below was on screen with a control prompt, a counter, or a timer attached.

Scoring, timers, and button prompts explained
The minigames split into two groups. Some just tally what you pull off, and some grade you against a clock.
Basketball sits in the first group. You hold a single input, R2, to shoot, and a small counter in the corner logs how many shots go in. Nothing pressures you to stop.
The bench press is a rhythm test. The camera drops to a top-down angle over the bar, a button glyph sits on each of Jason’s hands, and you alternate L2 and R2 to drive each rep upward. It is the closest thing to a classic trigger-mashing workout the series has had in years.
The tactical shooting range is the most demanding of the lot. You move through a course of pop-up targets while three numbers track you at once: how many targets are left out of the total, a running clock counting up in hundredths, and a fixed par time to beat. In the run shown, the clock had already passed the 30-second par with five targets still standing, which tells you the par is tight enough to actually miss.
Motocross uses a standard race readout — current lap out of the total, your live position in a twelve-rider pack, and elapsed time. Payouts, unlocks, or any progression tied to these results have not been shown.
Water and swamp activities in Leonida
Water is doing a lot of heavy lifting in Leonida. Airboats push through narrow Everglades-style channels past wildlife and watchtowers, jet skis run in convoy off the beach at sunset, and a scuba segment drops you under the surface entirely.
Kayaking and fishing round out the calmer end. Both have turned up alongside the diving and boating material, and kayaks appear as usable equipment rather than set dressing.
Fighting, fitness, and sports
Lifting weights is back as a proper activity with its own minigame, and it is not the only physical pursuit. Cage fighting and MMA-style bouts have been shown, with Lucia working a heavy bag in a gym and trading punches in a ring. Backyard wrestling has also turned up, which is a first for the series.
On the lighter side, there is basketball on a neighborhood hoop, American football on the sand, and tennis courts visible in the city. Hunting is set in Mount Kalaga National Park, where you can also study animals — a collecting mechanic in the mold of Red Dead Redemption 2 — and feed strays or pet dogs out in the world.
Nightlife, bars, and the Jack of Hearts
Bars, nightclubs, and dancing are all part of the mix, and at least one venue has a real input attached to it. Inside the Jack of Hearts strip club, an L2 prompt lets you throw cash bills at the stage.
Gambling has also been spotted, though the specific games and where they live have not been detailed.
Downtime hobbies: pool, mini golf, and arcade machines
Pool returns after last appearing in GTA IV, played out in a dim bar with Jason and Cal at the table. Mini golf is new to the series and shows up on a bright, compact course. Both are the sort of low-stakes, sit-down activity that fits the setting.
Indoors, there are televisions to watch and playable arcade cabinets, including a QUB3D machine sitting on its PRESS START screen. Doomscrolling social media is treated as an activity in its own right, and eavesdropping on NPCs for too long can get you into trouble.
Other diversions include riding electric scooters, spying on neighbors with binoculars, shopping in convenience stores, and hanging around ambient spots like Hank’s Waffles or a beach day with friends.

Activities you can do with a partner
A good chunk of the side content can be done as a couple. Working out together, going clothes shopping, and lounging around a safehouse with beers all fall under that umbrella, and the same appears to extend to the more structured activities.
Note: Jason and Lucia’s relationship feeds into other systems, so time spent on this stuff is not purely cosmetic. The exact effects have not been spelled out.
What has not been detailed yet
No rewards, payouts, unlocks, or skill progression have been demonstrated for any of these activities. The counters and par times prove the minigames are scored, but nothing has been shown about what beating a par time or winning a race actually gives you. Where activities are located on the map, whether they are repeatable, and which ones tie into story chapters are also open questions.
