Grand Blue: How to Get All Pets and Mounts (Every Location)

Pets in Grand Blue are not decorative followers. They level, grow larger, unlock combat skills, and in the case of the Circus Lion, double as a mount you can ride across an island. Four of them are available in Early Access right now, split between the starter island and the second stop on the map, and only one of them costs money.

Quick answer: Kill the Level 3 Blonde Goblin in Anchor Town for Soro, kill the Level 3 Chickens at the Anchor Town farm for Manok, buy the Small Dog for 10,000 Gold at the Clown Town pet shop, and beat the Level 30 Circus Lion in Clown Town’s central plaza for Lioni, which is both a pet and a mount.

Every pet and mount in Grand Blue

Three of the four come from combat, so the only real gate is your level. The Circus Lion is the one that will stop a fresh character cold.

Anchor Town pet locations: Soro and Manok

Spawn into Anchor Town, the starter island, and head for the main stairs in the middle of town. Take them all the way up.
At the top of the stairs, turn right and follow the path until you find the Blonde Goblin. It sits at Level 3, so a starting character can kill it with basic light attacks.

Defeat it to collect the Soro pet. The drop lands in your inventory, and you can confirm it by opening the pet details menu and equipping Soro.
For Manok, head to the farm area in the same town and kill the Level 3 Chickens roaming there. This one is a chance drop rather than a guaranteed one, so expect to clear several before the pet appears.

If nothing drops after a few kills, that is normal for Manok and not a bug. Chickens respawn, so keep looping the farm rather than logging out and rejoining.

Clown Town: Lioni the Circus Lion and the Small Dog

Sail from Anchor Town to Clown Town on Buggy Island. You need a ship to make the crossing, and the trip is the same one you take for the island’s story quests.

Walk to the central plaza in Clown Town and find the Circus Lion. It is a Level 30 enemy, so bring a fighting style and a fruit skill you can actually land; a Level 10 character will lose this fight.
Kill it to receive Lioni. Equipping it gives you a pet that fights alongside you and a mount you can ride, which is the fastest ground travel available this early.
Visit the pet shop stand in the same town for the Small Dog, priced at 10,000 Gold. Pick up Pet Food here at the same time, since it costs 1,000 Gold per unit and you will want a stack.

Pet Food, pet levels, and skill unlocks

Pets level by eating Pet Food, and each level makes them physically larger and stronger. Feed the food to whichever pet is currently out, and you will see the level tick up along with a size change on the model.

Levels also gate combat abilities. Each pet has its own kit that unlocks in stages, and the pet details menu lists which skills are still locked. The Circus Lion has the deepest set of the four.

Level 75 is the number that matters. That is the point at which a pet’s full skill list is unlocked, so Pet Food purchases at 1,000 Gold each are effectively a long-term Gold sink rather than a quick upgrade.

Mounts: Lioni and the Celestial race mount

Lioni is the mount everyone can reach. Beat the Circus Lion, equip the pet, and you can ride it, which is faster than running between quest markers on foot.

There is a second, separate mount tied to the Celestial race, and it is exclusive to players who hold that race variant. Celestial is a rare roll at roughly 0.1%, and Race Rerolls are the only way to chase it. The same race is also linked to the game’s companion system, the rideable second character the interface labels a slave, though other players have shown companion-style allies without Celestial, so more than one unlock path may exist.

Note: Race Rerolls come from codes and from Robux purchases, so stack the free ones before you spend anything.

None of these hand out pets directly, but the Race Rerolls are what you burn chasing Celestial, and Fruit Chests give your pet’s owner a fruit worth fighting the Level 30 Circus Lion with.

Redeem them from the title screen in Grand Blue on Roblox. Open the Customize Character menu, type the code into the Enter Code box exactly as written, and press Redeem. If nothing happens, check for a trailing space or a missing exclamation mark before assuming the code is dead.

The efficient route is to grab Soro and farm Manok during your first hour on Anchor Town, then treat Lioni as a Level 30 milestone once you have a ship and a fighting style. The Small Dog can wait, since 10,000 Gold buys a lot of Pet Food, and Pet Food is what actually makes any of these pets useful in a fight.
