Vale Sangora is large, and running between quests eats into the days you have to save Coen’s family. Fast travel solves that. It works entirely through Shrines, and the best part is that jumping between them costs you no in-game time at all.
Quick answer: Walk up to a Shrine and interact with it to activate it, then choose Fast Travel and pick any other Shrine you have already activated (shown in blue) on the map to teleport there instantly.

How Shrines work as fast travel points
Shrines are the only way to fast travel in The Blood of Dawnwalker. On the map, they appear as a small roofed structure with a cross on top. You cannot teleport from the open world, and simply walking near a Shrine or spotting it on the map is not enough. You have to physically reach it and interact with it once to add it to your travel network.
The color of the icon tells you its state.
| Shrine icon | What it means |
|---|---|
| Blue | Activated and ready to use as a fast travel destination. |
| Grey | Not yet discovered, or a destroyed Shrine that still needs to be repaired. |
You need at least two activated Shrines before fast travel becomes useful, since you always travel from one blue Shrine to another. Beyond travel, Shrines also let you unlock abilities, access storage, and skip time.

Repair destroyed Shrines to unlock them
Some Shrines are desecrated and sit in ruins when you find them. These stay grey and will not offer the Fast Travel option until you restore them by returning their missing Shrine’s Heart. There are 17 destroyed Shrines across Vale Sangora.

How many Shrines there are
There are 111 Shrines spread across Vale Sangora, and every one of them can act as a fast travel point once it is activated. Because the main story runs on a limited number of days, the fact that fast travel takes no time makes activating Shrines early a practical way to reach quests without burning the clock.
Note: Even though hopping between Shrines is free and quick, walking Vale Sangora on foot during your first hours is worth doing at least once to take in the world before you start skipping across it.
