Coen leans on a sword for the bulk of his daytime melee, and three Legendary blades sit at the top of that pool in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Each one comes from a completely different route. One is tied to an early side quest, one is the payoff of a longer forging questline, and one is a straight purchase.

Durandal: The Cursed Chasm side quest
Durandal is the earliest Legendary sword you can realistically claim, and it makes a strong early-game weapon. Before you head out, be aware of two things. The path is guarded by dangerous enemies, and completing this route pushes your time bar forward by two segments. Coming in around level 11 makes the fight far more manageable.
Note: You can also stumble onto this spot by exploring rather than starting from the note, but taking the quest route keeps the objective marked on your map.
Imbued Sword of St. Mihai: The Forge it Anew reward
This blade is the endpoint of a chain of quests, so the order you tackle them in matters. Run them as Night Terrors, then A Monk and a Saint, then Forge it Anew. Night Terrors opens up an underground area you will need later, A Monk and a Saint hands you the broken Silver Sword, and Forge it Anew gets you the pieces to rebuild it.
You will know it worked when the restored Silver Sword is converted into the Imbued Sword of St. Mihai and the Forge it Anew questline closes out.
The Purge: Buy it from the Silver Trader
The Purge is the simplest of the three to obtain, since there is no quest attached. It sits in the inventory of the Silver Trader in Svartrau City. The only barrier is money.
Between the three, Durandal is the one to prioritize first thanks to how early and cheaply you can reach it. The Imbued Sword of St. Mihai rewards patience through the Forge it Anew chain, and The Purge is there whenever your Denarii stockpile catches up.
