Version 1.29 of Star Wars Droid Tycoon reworks how the mode displays information rather than adding new grind systems. The Nova Shop now shows prices up front, a new perk sends you alerts when a specific droid spawns, and the crafting station finally tells you how long a build will actually take at your current speed.
Quick answer: Buy Droidex Notifications in the Nova Shop for 20 Nova Crystals, then open the Droidex terminal and select one droid to track. A Jawa alert appears on screen whenever that droid spawns on the conveyor belt.
Everything in the v1.29 update
The changes fall into four areas. Two are interface work, one is a new purchasable perk, and one is a straight payout increase.

Nova Shop pricing is now visible on the main screen
The Nova Shop keeps its six tabs — FEATURED, CORE UPGRADES, WORKSHOP, COSMETIC, LOBBY BOOSTS and ICONIC DROIDS — but the crystal cost of every perk is now printed on the icon itself. Comparing what you can afford against your current crystal balance no longer means clicking through each entry one at a time.
How to set up Droidex Notifications
Droidex Notifications is the only new purchase in this version. Its in-game description is direct about the limit: “Enable notifications for droid spawns by selecting them in your Droidex. Track up to 1 at a time.” One droid, swapped whenever you want.
How you know it worked: a Jawa notification pops up on screen the moment your tracked droid spawns on the conveyor belt. If no alert ever appears, either the perk was not purchased or no droid is currently selected in the Droidex — the tracking slot holds one droid at a time, so selecting a new one replaces the old.
Droid Crafting UI: Estimated Time and the hit counter
Place a blueprint on the Crafting Station and the panel now reads differently. The countdown listed under Estimated Time responds to your crafting speed percentage and to how quickly you are pickaxing the station, so the number on screen reflects your real pace instead of a fixed figure.
Below the progress meter there is a current seconds / total seconds readout, giving you an exact position in the build rather than a bar to eyeball. On long crafts the total hit count climbs well into the tens of thousands, which is precisely why the numeric display matters.
Note: the countdown reacts to activity. If you stop hitting the station, the estimate stretches to match the slower pace.
Cantina fusion droid trades pay 5x
Fusion droids handed to the NPCs inside the Cantina now return five times what they did before. Bring the droid to a trader, take the TRADE NOW option on the confirmation prompt, and the payout lands at the new rate.
The multiplier applies to fusion droids specifically, so it is worth holding those for the Cantina rather than dumping them elsewhere.
Mega Crate Mini Event and D-O Event fixes
The Mega Crate Mini Event is live alongside the update. Breaking a Mega Crate during the event awards 2 Nova Crystals per crate, which pairs neatly with the 20-crystal Droidex Notifications purchase if you are short.
Bug fixes for the D-O Event also shipped in this version.
Taken together, v1.29 is mostly about removing guesswork. You can see what a perk costs before opening it, know when the droid you are hunting has appeared, and read exactly how far along a craft is — three small frictions that added up during long sessions at the Droidsmith Outpost.
