Anime Expeditions: How to Get Guts and Griffith in Update 2.5

Exact drop locations, the 150-soul quest requirement, and both evolution paths for the Broken Falcon.

Exact drop locations, the 150-soul quest requirement, and both evolution paths for the Broken Falcon.

Update 2.5 added two Berserk-inspired units to Anime Expeditions, and neither one comes from a banner. Guts is a raid drop, while Griffith starts as a free base unit handed out by an NPC and only becomes useful after a long farm. The paths barely overlap, so it helps to treat them as two separate jobs.

Quick answer: Clear Snowy Castle Raid Act 3 on Hard Mode to get Guts (Iron Wolf), and talk to the Broken Falcon NPC in Crimson Shore to claim Griffith, then farm 150 Redeemed or Sacrificed Souls in Eclipsed Infinite to evolve him.

Where both units come from

Griffith (Broken Falcon)Broken Falcon NPC in Crimson Shore story map150 Redeemed Souls or 150 Sacrificed Souls

Guts is the faster of the two if your account can already survive Hard Mode raids. Griffith is free on day one but locked behind a grind, so most players start his quest early and chip away at it between raid attempts.

How to get Guts (Iron Wolf) from Snowy Castle Raid

Open the raid menu and select Snowy Castle. Guts only drops from Act 3, and only on Hard Mode, so Normal clears will not produce him no matter how many times you run them.
Bring a carry that can handle raid-level health pools. Units from the previous updates hold up well here, with Sinbad, Judar, and Itachi all comfortable picks for the final waves.
Once Guts is in your inventory, switch to Snowy Castle Act 1 and farm the Demonslayer. That equipment piece is his evolution material, and it drops from Act 1 rather than the Act 3 run that gave you the unit.

How to claim Griffith (Broken Falcon) in Crimson Shore

Head to the Crimson Shore story map. Any Act works for reaching the NPC, so pick whichever one you can load into quickest.

Walk behind the spawn area and find the Broken Falcon NPC. He is tucked away from the main path, so you will not run into him by accident while queuing for a stage.
Interact with him to receive the base Broken Falcon unit and open the Falcon’s Eclipse Quest. The quest itself is called Redemption or Sacrifice, and it asks for 150 souls of one type.

Pick your evolution path before you start farming

Griffith has two final forms, and the soul type you collect decides which one you get. Committing to a single meter is the fastest route, since splitting your runs between the two just doubles the work.

Farming Redeemed and Sacrificed Souls in Eclipsed Infinite

Souls only come from Eclipsed Infinite, a separate mode marked with an eclipse icon on the story map selection screen. School Grounds is a common pick, but any stage carrying the icon works the same way.

Eclipsed Infinite is entered from the story portal, the same way as any other stage.
Enter an Eclipsed Infinite stage and set up your defense as normal. Auto Play handles the placement work fine once your units are strong enough to hold the lane on their own.
Every five waves, the mode offers a card choice between Redemption and Sacrifice. Each pick fills the matching meter, so keep selecting the same side for the entire run.

Beat the boss at wave 10. Killing it pushes extra progress into whichever meter is currently ahead, which is another reason not to split your card picks.
Keep the run going and clear the final boss. The souls you are paid out at the end match the meter you built, and a completed run hands over a batch of 10.

Later waves ramp up quickly, so a carry that scales is worth more than a wide roster.

Note: at 10 souls per completed run, 150 works out to roughly 15 clears. Eclipsed Infinite is not a short mode, so plan for several sessions rather than a single sitting.

How to confirm the quest worked

The victory screen at the end of an Eclipsed Infinite run lists your souls alongside the rest of the stage rewards. If that line is missing, the meter never locked in, which usually means the card picks were split between Redemption and Sacrifice across the run.

Once your total hits 150, return to the Broken Falcon NPC in Crimson Shore and exchange them. Redeemed Souls buy the Cursed Egg and Sacrificed Souls buy the Eclipse Shard, and the item then feeds into the evolve menu for Broken Falcon. The quest text updates when the exchange goes through.

Units that make both grinds shorter

Snowy Castle on Hard and the late waves of Eclipsed Infinite both punish underpowered rosters. Sinbad, Judar, and Itachi remain the reliable picks for clearing them, and pairing one of those with a farm unit keeps your economy going long enough to reach the final boss.

Neither Guts nor Griffith needs to be pulled, which makes them worth chasing even on a modest account. The gate is time, not luck, and the main decision you actually make is which Falcon form you want at the end of it.
