The Our Journey Continues expedition arrives with No Man’s Sky’s COSMOS update (Update 7.0), but it has not gone live yet. If you open the Expedition Terminus in-game right now, you will still see Swarm listed, which is expected while the new season is being staged for launch.

Status: Window. The expedition is tied to COSMOS, which went live on September 9, 2026 across PlayStation, Xbox, PC and Nintendo Switch. The expedition itself flips on separately in the Expedition Terminus once Hello Games activates it, and until then Swarm remains the active season.
There are two realistic windows. The earlier one lands on or near September 10, 2026. The later one falls on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, which becomes more likely if the COSMOS patch is still finishing its rollout on some platforms. No single official time with a time zone has been confirmed.

What the Our Journey Continues expedition includes
This season is built as a retrospective for the game’s 10th anniversary. It is structured across milestones, and each milestone maps to one of the game’s 40 updates. Progressing through the expedition unlocks the features associated with each update in sequence, so it works like a walk through the game’s history rather than a single themed challenge.
Each milestone also carries a spacelog with facts and developer commentary about the update it represents. Completing milestones earns unique rewards, including the Golden Rasmama S36 starship.
“It is like a museum of each update, unlocking the features of each update as we added them, along with a spacelog of interesting facts and developers commentary for each update,” Sean Murray said.
How to check whether the expedition is live
Note: Community expeditions are limited-time seasons that typically run for several weeks, so once it starts you will have a window to complete the milestones and claim the rewards.
Until the season goes live, you can still explore everything COSMOS adds, including owned space stations, free-floating orbital bases, alliances and leaderboards, space hulks and bio-wrecks to salvage, new asteroid-belt resources, and a journey to the center of your own star system.
