Gears of War: E-Day: Every Achievement and How to Get It

All 55 achievements grouped by campaign, Horde Siege, Versus, and the completion feats that gate 100%.

All 55 achievements grouped by campaign, Horde Siege, Versus, and the completion feats that gate 100%.

Gears of War: E-Day ships with 55 achievements, and the split leans heavily toward multiplayer. A handful come naturally from playing the campaign to the end, but the biggest grinds live in Horde Siege and Versus, where you rack up tens of thousands of kills, max out classes, and re-up your player level.

Quick answer: To unlock all 55, finish the campaign on Insane with 100% completion (all Hard Cases, collectibles, secondary objectives, and Supply Cache items), reach 25,000 Versus kills, max your player level, and max all four Horde Siege classes. Doing that chain fires “Dead Serious,” and clearing every other achievement fires “The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day.”

How the 55 achievements break down

Most achievements are worth 15 points. A smaller group of completion milestones award 25 points, two capstone feats hand out 75 and 85, and the “earn everything” achievement is worth 0. Gears of War: E-Day is an Xbox and PC exclusive, and this final achievement works like a PlayStation Platinum trophy for the game.

Point valueWhat it usually means
0Awarded for earning every other achievement
15Story beats, single tasks, and most multiplayer milestones
25Full-campaign clears and large multiplayer grinds
75 & 85Insane 100% completion and the full end-game chain

Campaign story achievements (Acts 1–5)

The campaign runs across five Acts. Each of the following unlocks automatically as you push through the story, so simply playing to the credits earns all of them. “FNG” comes even earlier, from finishing Boot Camp.

Campaign completion and collectibles

These reward thorough play. You need every Hard Case, every collectible, all secondary objectives, and all Supply Cache items to fully clear the campaign side. The Insane clear (“Today We Are Canceling the Apocalypse”) is the prerequisite that later feeds into the game’s hardest capstones.

Horde Siege achievements

Horde Siege is the reworked co-op wave survival mode, and it holds the largest cluster of achievements. Several tie to specific class tools such as the Sonic Disruptor, Injector, Pulse Drone, and Stim Vaporizer, so you will need to spread play across roles. The heaviest grind here is “I WILL MASSACRE YOU,” which asks for 50,000 total enemy kills.

Versus and other PvP achievements

Versus is the refined 4v4 competitive mode. Three of these come from mode-specific plays, and the fourth is a long haul. “HEY NOW, YOU’RE AN ALL STAR…” needs 25,000 kills in Versus, which is also part of the final completion chain.

Enemy and weapon-specific achievements

This set rewards one-off actions against specific enemies or with signature weapons. Most can be earned in either the campaign or Horde Siege as the right foe appears. “Chainsaw Go Brrrrrrrrr,” for example, only asks you to chainsaw a Locust once.

The three completion capstones

These are the gatekeepers for 100%. “For Whom The Bell Tolls” bundles the full Insane clear with all side missions and hidden items. “Dead Serious” stacks that campaign requirement on top of the biggest multiplayer grinds. Clear everything and “The Lucky Ones Died on E-Day” pops on its own.

AchievementRequirementPoints
For Whom The Bell TollsComplete the campaign on Insane, finish all side missions, and find all hidden items75
Dead Serious100% the campaign on Insane, reach 25,000 Versus kills, max your Player Level, and max all four classes85
The Lucky Ones Died on E-DayEarn every other achievement0

Note: the campaign work you do for “For Whom The Bell Tolls” also counts toward “Dead Serious,” so plan a single Insane 100% run rather than repeating it. The two multiplayer targets that carry the most time are the 25,000 Versus kills and maxing all four Horde Siege classes.

When you can start earning them

Gears of War: E-Day launches on Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 6, 2026, and it is a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Players who pre-order the Premium or Collector’s Edition get five days of early access, so those buyers can begin working through the list ahead of the standard launch. You can confirm edition details on the official Gears of War: E-Day store page.

Because the achievement set is unusually front-loaded with multiplayer grinds, the fastest path to a full clear is to run the campaign once on Insane with full collectible cleanup, then commit the bulk of your remaining time to Horde Siege and Versus. Everything else on the list falls into place along the way.
