How to Beat the Citrine Pot in Final Fantasy Resonance

Citrine Pot guide for Final Fantasy Resonance: where it waits in the Mobliz Shipyard and Siren's Tower, its Libra stats (Lv 15, 99,999 HP, Fairy, rare Elixir), the Ether that ended the fight, the rewards, and where every other Pot is.

The Citrine Pot looks like a golden pot sitting on the floor, but it is a Fairy enemy with 99,999 HP. In Final Fantasy Resonance (PC, Steam) you start the battle by walking up to it and pressing F (Examine). In our fight on Normal, with Rain, Lasswell and Fina at level 16 and Lid at 14, it never hurt the party, and one item ended the battle.

Quick answer: Use an Ether on the pot. Open Items, pick Ether, move the target cursor from your party over to the Citrine Pot and confirm: the pot says “Yay! Yippee!” and the battle ends as a win, worth 55 EXP (+11 No Damage Bonus), 100 Gil and 120 MRP. The Citrine Pot is a level 15 Fairy with 99,999 HP and a rare Elixir drop, and you find it on the upper floor of the Mobliz Shipyard’s west block (Chapter 2) and on the third floor of Siren’s Tower (Chapter 1).

Where to find the Citrine Pot

In Chapter 2 (“Eternal Blue”), the pot sits on the upper floor of the west block of the Mobliz Shipyard on Dirnado. You reach it during the objective “Save Borin at Mobliz Shipyard”. The shipyard door on the World Map lists a Recommended Level 16. The Mobliz Shipyard interactive map shows the layout if you lose your bearings.

From the save point at the entrance, walk west along the entrance hall. At its west end, take the passage north into the big ground-floor hall.
Head north, then west, through that hall to its north-west room. The west lift is in that room.
Press the call switch and step onto the lift platform. Press F at the control panel on the platform’s east side. Pressing F in the middle of the platform does nothing.
The lift takes you to the upper floor of the west block. From the top, walk north, then east, then north again into a caged room at the north end.
The golden pot is on the floor of that caged room, and a chest sits just past it at the room’s north tip. Walk up to the pot and press F to start the battle.

The same pot is also a fixed battle on the third floor of Siren’s Tower in Chapter 1. It is still level 15 and still has the Elixir as its rare drop. The Siren’s Tower walkthrough covers that route, and the full Final Fantasy Resonance walkthrough covers the rest of the story. If you are clearing the shipyard thoroughly, check the Mobliz Shipyard Tablet Shard locations too.

Citrine Pot stats (Libra)

Lasswell’s White Magic spell Libra (“Analyze an enemy for information.”) opens the full profile. It shows Citrine Pot Lv. 15, HP 99999/99999, Type Fairy, a full row of resistance icons, and Trait 1 listed as “???”. There is no normal drop, the Rare Drop is an Elixir (“Fully restores HP and MP.”), and there is nothing to steal. Its HP did not move during our fight. Other enemy profiles are in the enemies list.

How to beat the Citrine Pot

Rest and save before you take the lift up. The shipyard’s entrance save point is the nearest one. Bring at least one Ether (“Restores 50 MP.”), which costs 500 Gil in the item shops in the Dwarven Forge and Dilmagia. The items list covers the other consumables.
In our fight the party only Defended in the first round, and the pot did not damage anyone.
On Fina’s turn, open Items and pick Ether.

The target cursor starts on your own party. Move it over to the Citrine Pot, where “Lv. 15 Citrine Pot” appears next to it, and confirm.

No line on screen said what the pot wanted before the Ether went in. Nobody attacked it, and since the party took no damage, the win came with the No Damage Bonus.

Citrine Pot rewards

The Battle Result screen gives 55 EXP (+11 No Damage Bonus), 100 Gil and 120 MRP. Items Obtained was empty: the Elixir is a rare drop, and it did not drop this time. 120 MRP is a lot for a battle this short. The Vision Mastery Rank page explains what MRP feeds into.

After the win, the pot was still standing in the room. Walk a few steps past it to the chest at the room’s north tip. It holds a Chocobo Down Charm (“Grants the ability to survive with 1 HP upon receiving damage exceeding HP once per battle.”).

Every Pot in Final Fantasy Resonance
