WARDOGS puts region selection directly in your hands. Instead of an invisible matchmaking queue deciding where you land, the game routes you through a server browser with a region filter you control, and that filter determines which pool of 100-player servers you can see and join.
Quick answer: Click DEPLOY on the main menu, press the REGION button in the bottom-left of the server browser, tick the checkbox next to the region you want in the SELECT REGION window, then click CONFIRM.

Add to Google Preferences →Every region option in the SELECT REGION menu
The picker splits the world into eleven entries, with Europe, North America and Asia broken down into sub-regions. Ping is displayed per entry, so the sub-region split matters more than the continent label.
| Continent | Selectable entries |
|---|---|
| Europe | EUROPE (CENTRAL), EUROPE (EAST), EUROPE (WEST), EUROPE (SOUTH) |
| North America | NORTH AMERICA (CENTRAL), NORTH AMERICA (NORTH), NORTH AMERICA (EAST), NORTH AMERICA (WEST) |
| South America | SOUTH AMERICA |
| Asia | ASIA (EAST), ASIA (WEST) |
Note: the region names describe server pools, not a promise about which city hosts them. Treat the ping reading next to each entry as the real signal for where you connect fastest.
How to confirm the region change worked
Two things tell you the switch took effect. First, the server list refreshes and the entries now carry your new region’s tag in their names, such as OFFICIAL WARDOGS! [North America (Central)] #Bakurani. Second, once you join, the queue readout shows the same region label alongside your position, for example IN SERVER QUEUE: Position 7 of 8.

If the browser still shows servers from your old region, the selection was not confirmed. Reopen the REGION menu, check the box is actually ticked, and press CONFIRM again rather than closing the window with escape.
Empty server browser after switching regions
An empty list after a region change usually comes down to the filter state, not a broken install. Work through the checks below before touching your PC or reinstalling the game.
- Clear any search text and gameplay filters, including password or full-server filters, then refresh.
- Select a single region rather than several at once. Multi-region selection has previously produced a blank list during capacity-limited testing.
- Try a neighbouring sub-region. Players hitting full or unresponsive EU servers have had results switching from one European entry to another.
- Confirm you are on the current client build. Server entries from an older playtest build will not appear or connect.
If the game launches and you reach the browser at all, the install and anti-cheat services are already working. Note the region you selected, every active filter and the build number before reporting the problem.
Choosing a region by ping and population, not by map
The lowest number in the list is not automatically the best choice. A region with a 20ms reading but no servers you can actually get into is worse than a 45ms region with matches in progress, and a steady connection beats one that averages low but spikes.
Read ping more than once before committing, since a single reading does not account for route changes or server load. Also watch the population on individual servers. A full one puts you in a queue, while an empty one may never fill out a 100-player match.
Switching regions is also the practical answer during off-peak hours in your own area, or when you want to squad up with friends elsewhere. Picking a region that splits the difference gives everyone a workable ping instead of one player sitting at a huge disadvantage.
The region filter is not a one-time setting, so there is no cost to changing it between sessions. If a region gets congested, open DEPLOY, hit REGION, refresh the ping values and confirm a different entry. The browser reloads in seconds and your next deployment uses the new pool.
