No Sunrise is a DLC side mission tucked inside Tediore FOB Bravo Lima 4.2 on Providence Island. It is short, takes roughly two minutes of actual play once you know the path, and ends with a boss fight against Kolavalin and an assault rifle reward called the Synchronized Spec-Tec.
Quick answer: Accept No Sunrise at the mission console inside Tediore FOB Bravo Lima 4.2, place the extra Digi-Gauntlet on it, follow the lava caverns to the enclosure, drop into the arena and kill Kolavalin, then claim the Synchronized Spec-Tec from the mission reward screen.
No Sunrise requirements and mission details
The mission is gated by ownership, not by story progress. Every player in the session has to own FL4K and the Lost Resort content, otherwise the mission will not advance for the group. The mission description frames it as a Tediore wildlife experiment gone wrong, which is a fair warning about what you fight at the end.

Route to the enclosure through the lava caverns

How to beat Kolavalin
The fight triggers the moment you drop into the arena below the enclosure, so do not jump down until you are reloaded and healed. Kolavalin is the flesh-and-steel abomination the mission text refers to, and it can appear well above your own level.
Corrosive damage is the element that works here. A corrosive weapon brings the boss down quickly even when it out-levels you, and the mission is short enough that the experience from the kill alone can push you up a level.

Tip: reload during the boss’s movement rather than while you are standing still in the open. The arena is small and there is nowhere useful to break line of sight for long.
Claiming the Synchronized Spec-Tec reward
Killing Kolavalin ends the mission immediately. You will see the Side Mission Complete banner on screen, which is the confirmation that it registered, and the Synchronized Spec-Tec then waits on the reward screen. Open the mission log or inventory and accept it, since the gun does not go straight into a weapon slot.

The version handed out at level 70 carries a Daedalus trait, where the secondary fire draws from your sniper rifle ammo pool. That matters for how you feed it, because heavy secondary use will drain a reserve you may be keeping for another gun.
| Synchronized Spec-Tec (Level 70) | Value |
|---|---|
| DPS | 18,344 |
| Damage | 3,585 |
| Accuracy | 81% |
| Handling | 58% |
| Reload time | 3.1s |
| Fire rate | 8.83/s |
| Magazine size | 36 |
| Special | Daedalus — secondary fire consumes sniper rifle ammo |
Why No Sunrise will not progress
There is one hard blocker worth checking before you travel. Every player in the session needs FL4K and the Lost Resort, so a co-op partner without that content will stop the mission from moving forward even if you can see and accept it yourself. Splitting off and running it solo, or matching with players who own the same content, resolves it.
The other common stall is the opening objective. Accepting the mission and placing the extra Digi-Gauntlet are two separate actions at the console, and if the Reach Enclosure marker has not appeared, the Digi-Gauntlet has not been placed yet.
If you want the Synchronized Spec-Tec at your current level rather than the one you first earned it at, the mission is compact enough to rerun from the missions menu once you have outlevelled it.
