The Premium Warbond adds two armor sets, three weapons, two throwables, new tank patterns, and an emote on September 22nd.

Ironclad Democracy is a Premium Warbond for Helldivers 2 built around heavy armor and anti-tank firepower, shown off in a reveal trailer set on a red desert world crawling with Automaton forces. It bundles two armor sets, three guns, two throwables, an emote, and a set of tank paint schemes.

Quick answer: Ironclad Democracy arrives September 22nd on PS5, PC, and Xbox. You unlock it with Super Credits on top of the base game, then earn its gear through in-game progression.

Ironclad Democracy release date and platforms

The Warbond goes live on September 22nd across all three platforms the game runs on: PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. No specific rollout time has been confirmed, so treat the date itself as the only fixed detail.

Because Warbonds are account-wide and tied to your Helldiver profile rather than a season, there is no window you can miss. Crossplay means squads can mix platforms freely, and anyone in your group who owns the Warbond can equip its gear regardless of what the rest of the team has bought.

How to unlock the Ironclad Democracy Warbond

Three things gate the contents, and all of them are standard for Premium Warbonds.

  • The base game, on PC, PS5, or Xbox Series X|S.
  • Super Credits, which you can find in the field during missions or buy outright.
  • Game progression to unlock individual pages and items once the Warbond is yours.
  • An online connection, plus PlayStation Plus for online play on PS5.

If you own the Super Citizen Edition, its Premium Warbond Token can be spent on any single Warbond. The one exception is Legendary Warbonds, which carry crossover content and cost more Super Credits. Ironclad Democracy is billed as a Premium Warbond, not a Legendary one.

Warbonds never expire. Buying this one later does not cost you anything, and the gear inside stays claimable indefinitely.

Armor sets and weapons breakdown

BFM-220 Ironclad and BFM-16 Tanker armor

The Warbond covers both ends of the mobility scale. The BFM-220 Ironclad is the heavy set, a slab-sided tanker look paired with the grenade launcher in the reveal footage. The BFM-16 Tanker is the light counterpart, shown in faster close-quarters fights against Automaton troopers.

GL-15 Evictor, AR-11 Arbitrator, and P-34 Breacher

Two primaries and one sidearm round out the arsenal. The GL-15 Evictor is a grenade launcher used against an Automaton Hulk in the trailer. The AR-11 Arbitrator is a conventional rifle carrying a 45-round magazine, aimed at trooper-level threats. The P-34 Breacher is the secondary, demonstrated by cutting down a chainsaw-wielding Berserker at short range.

G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker and G-8 Immolation throwables

The G-60 Anti-Tank Seeker is a magnetic anti-tank mine. In the footage it is thrown at a moving enemy tank and detonates on contact, which makes it the obvious answer for armored targets that shrug off small arms.

The G-8 Immolation is the crowd-control option. It is tossed into a pack of Automaton troopers and sets the whole group alight, covering the gap between one anti-tank tool and one incendiary tool in the same Warbond.

Tank patterns and the Helmet Durability Check emote

Three tank patterns come with the Warbond, giving vehicles a yellow-and-black scheme, a grey-and-white scheme, and a camouflage finish. They are purely visual, applied to the tank rather than to your Helldiver.

The emote is called Helmet Durability Check, and it is exactly what the name suggests. One Helldiver swings a shovel into a squadmate’s helmet, which is the sort of thing that only goes well when friendly fire is not part of the equation.

How to confirm the Warbond is active on your account

After spending Super Credits, Ironclad Democracy appears alongside your other Warbonds and stops showing a purchase prompt. From there it behaves like every other Warbond page: items unlock as you progress, and anything you have claimed shows up in your loadout when you equip armor, weapons, throwables, or emotes aboard your Super Destroyer.

Since nothing here is time-limited, there is no rush to claim every page on launch day. The practical decision is whether your loadout wants a grenade launcher and a dedicated anti-tank throwable, which is where this set clearly points: the Automaton front, where heavy units keep showing up.
