Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst support arriving in Phase 1 of Version 7.1 on September 23, 2026. She heals, shreds resistance for three elements, hands out damage bonuses to Hydro, Cryo, and the Stellar Swirl reaction, and does all of it from off-field. Every meaningful number in her kit scales off Max HP, which makes her build unusually simple and her stat ceiling unusually specific.
Quick answer: Run HP% on Sands, Goblet, and Circlet until she hits roughly 65,000 HP, use Tenacity of the Millelith, crown her Elemental Skill, and slot her into Stellar Swirl or Freeze teams.
What Vodyanitsa’s Skill, Burst, and passives do
Her Elemental Skill, Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn, is the entire character. Casting it puts down a persistent effect that works on the active character while Vodyanitsa sits on the bench, and it does four separate jobs at once.
- Heals the active character on a timer
- Grants interruption resistance while the effect is up
- Applies Hydro roughly every 3 seconds through repeated off-field hits
- Reduces enemy Hydro and Cryo RES by up to 30%

Her Burst, Sink With Thee, is AoE Hydro damage with a bonus tied to her Song of Ages Past state. It is one of the cheapest Bursts in the game, but it contributes almost nothing to her support identity, so most rotations skip it entirely. That is the main reason Energy Recharge is optional on her.

The passives do the heavy lifting. The Last Djeguako Songstress reacts to Stellar Swirl while her Skill is active, converting it into a Vortex and cutting nearby enemy Anemo RES by 35%. Dirge of the Fandyr hands out stacks that add flat damage to Hydro and Cryo hits, and those stacks convert into Stellar Swirl bonuses when a Vortex is on the field. One character shredding Hydro, Cryo, and Anemo RES by herself is genuinely rare.

Vodyanitsa stat priority and the 65,000 HP threshold
Her buff stacks scale off Max HP above a floor of 40,000. Every additional 1,000 HP past that adds flat damage to each stack, and the bonus stops growing at roughly 65,000 HP. Hit that number and her Hydro, Cryo, and Stellar Swirl buffs are maxed out; fall short and you are simply giving the team a smaller buff. Anything above 65,000 HP does nothing for the passive.
| Slot | Main stat |
|---|---|
| Sands of Eon | HP% |
| Goblet of Eonothem | HP% |
| Circlet of Logos | HP% |
| Substats | HP% > Energy Recharge |
A Healing Bonus circlet is technically playable if you want her purely as a healer, but it costs buff value and is hard to justify. 60,000 HP is a workable floor while you farm; 65,000 is the target.
Best artifacts for Vodyanitsa
Tenacity of the Millelith is the default. The 2-piece gives 20% HP toward her threshold, and the 4-piece pushes a 20% team-wide ATK buff every time her off-field Hydro hits land, which is constant during her Skill. That matters most in Stellar Swirl and Freeze teams, where the carries scale off ATK.
| Set | Bonus that matters | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Tenacity of the Millelith (4pc) | +20% HP, +20% team ATK | Default pick |
| 2pc Tenacity + 2pc Vourukasha’s Glow | +20% HP, +20% HP | Reaching 65,000 HP |
| Song of Days Past (4pc) | +15% Healing, DMG from healing | Freeze teams |
| Instructor (4pc) | +120 team EM | Early filler only |
If another character on the team already holds Tenacity, the double 2-piece HP split is the cleaner route to the HP cap. Song of Days Past turns her constant healing into extra damage and is a fair alternative in Freeze. Instructor works if you have nothing else, but the 4-star set costs so much HP that her buffs shrink noticeably.
Best weapons for Vodyanitsa
| Weapon | Secondary stat | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Hymn of the Maelstrom | 66.2% HP | Gacha |
| Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers | 35.2% HP | Gacha (3-star) |
| Jadefall’s Splendor | 49.6% HP | Gacha |
| Everlasting Moonglow | 49.6% HP | Gacha |
| Prototype Amber | 41.3% HP | Crafted |
| Ash-Graven Drinking Horn | 41.3% HP | Event |
Hymn of the Maelstrom is her signature and the obvious best-in-slot. It stacks Healing Bonus, grows her Max HP when she heals, and converts her HP over 40,000 into ATK for the active character. Those stacks get 75% stronger when a teammate triggers Frozen or Stellar Swirl, which is exactly where she is meant to be played.
Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers is the free-to-play answer and it is not a big drop. The HP substat helps her climb toward the threshold and the R5 passive buffs the next character on field by 48% ATK for 10 seconds, which fits her swap-in, swap-out pattern perfectly. Prototype Amber is the craftable option and the one to use if you actually want her Burst online, since it refunds Energy and adds team healing.
Jadefall’s Splendor and Everlasting Moonglow are fine if you already own them and need the raw HP, while Ash-Graven Drinking Horn adds a small AoE hit based on Max HP every 15 seconds. None of them buff the team the way TTDS does.
Only one character in a party should carry Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers, as the swap buff does not stack.

Talent priority and rotation
Crown the Elemental Skill first. The RES shred, the healing, and the buff stacks all live there. Level the Burst second only if you plan to cast it, and leave Normal Attack at level 1 forever.
You will know she is working when the healing ticks on the active character and enemies keep taking hits from her off-field summon while you are playing someone else. If the healing has stopped, her Skill window has expired and the RES shred is gone with it.

Best Vodyanitsa teams
Vesna Stellar Swirl
This is the archetype she was designed for. Vesna, Odette, Cryo Traveler, and Vodyanitsa turns on every part of her kit at once, since Vesna converts Cryo Swirl into Stellar Swirl and triggers her Anemo shred. Odette handles off-field Cryo and a Stellar Glimmer buff, the Cryo Traveler keeps reactions firing, and Vodyanitsa covers sustain and RES shred. The comp lands in the region of 180,000 DPS.
Build the damage dealers for ATK% and CRIT rather than elemental DMG% goblets, because Stellar Swirl uses the same reaction formula as Lunar Reactions and ignores elemental DMG bonuses. If you do not have Vesna, Yumemizuki Mizuki can drive a Stellar Swirl team instead. Qiqi or Diona can cover Cryo application in place of the Traveler, though both lower the ceiling.
Skirk Freeze
Skirk, Furina, Escoffier, and Vodyanitsa is her strongest Freeze setup and clears above 150,000 DPS. Skirk’s passive rewards an all-Cryo-and-Hydro roster, which Vodyanitsa satisfies, and her healing keeps Furina’s Burst buff fed. Her Hydro and Cryo shred stacks on top of everything the team already does.
She is not an Escoffier replacement. Swapping Escoffier out for her is a damage loss. Her real job here is taking the Citlali, Shenhe, or Mona slot, where she is worth roughly 7% over Citlali.
Ayaka, Wriothesley, Ganyu, or Neuvillette can stand in for Skirk. Yelan or Xingqiu can replace Furina, with Yelan being the closer match on buffing. In those non-Skirk Freeze teams her lead over Shenhe or Citlali narrows.
Sandrone Stellar Swirl
Sandrone can run as a Stellar Swirl DPS, and Sandrone, Odette, Vodyanitsa, and Sucrose gives her Cryo shred plus ATK buffs from Tenacity and TTDS while Sucrose groups enemies and supplies Anemo. Sandrone’s Stellar-Conduct teams are generally stronger overall, but this is a legitimate use of both characters.
Varka Hydro
Varka, Prune, Furina, and Vodyanitsa is the lightweight option, with Mona as a Furina substitute. Vodyanitsa is a straight buffer and healer here, adding Hydro RES shred and extra Hydro application. It is clearly weaker than her two main archetypes, but it works if Varka is already built.
Where Vodyanitsa does not fit
Her constant Hydro application is the limiting factor. Vaporize teams built around a Pyro carry lose consistency when she keeps reapplying Hydro, so she is a bad fit there. The same problem shows up in Mizuki teams that rely on specific Swirl setups, where her Hydro can disrupt the intended reaction chain. Freeze, mono-Hydro, and Stellar Swirl are the places her application is either neutral or an asset.
Vodyanitsa constellations worth chasing
| Constellation | Effect | Verdict |
|---|---|---|
| C1 | Team ATK when she heals | Solid, minor |
| C2 | Hydro/Cryo and Stellar Swirl CRIT DMG, +9s Skill | Biggest jump |
| C4 | Stacking Max HP above 40% health | Helps hit the HP cap |
| C6 | C2 effects for the whole party, extra DMG | Full team buffer |
Investment order is C2 first, then C6, then C1. C2 is the meaningful one because the 9-second Skill extension gets her closer to permanent uptime while handing the carry a large CRIT DMG bonus. C4 is useful mainly as a shortcut to the 65,000 HP target. C6 spreads the C2 buff across the whole party and adds Stellar Swirl, Hydro, and Cryo damage on top.
Is Vodyanitsa worth pulling?
She is strong without being mandatory. The three-element RES shred, the healing, and the interruption resistance are all real, but the gains over supports people already own are smaller than her kit description suggests. In Vesna Stellar Swirl she is roughly on par with a C6 Faruzan on damage, trading buff value for sustain. In Skirk Freeze she is an upgrade over Citlali or Mona, not over Escoffier.
The case for her gets much stronger if you are building into Stellar Swirl, since she and Vesna form the backbone of that archetype. She is also a very good Thrilling Tales holder, which gives her a use on almost any account regardless of how the meta shifts. If you main Skirk and already have Escoffier built, she is a luxury pull you can comfortably skip.
