Iris is the Grass-element DPS that turns up early in the Breezy Plains, and it has exactly one place to go. The line runs Iris to Irisal, nothing before it and nothing after it, so the whole job is hitting one level threshold, clearing one fight, and paying one material.

Quick answer: Get an Iris to Aniimo level 18, defeat the Alpha Irisal to unlock the evolution, then pay Sprout Stone x1 to turn it into Irisal.

Iris to Irisal evolution requirements

The evolution has three gates, and all three apply to every version of Iris, including the regional forms. Nothing else is recorded as a condition.

  • The Aniimo must reach the required level: Aniimo level 18.
  • Unlock condition: defeat the Alpha Irisal.
  • Evolution cost: Sprout Stone x1.

The unlock is tied to the Alpha fight, not to a quest chain. Until the Alpha Irisal goes down, a level 18 Iris with the stone in your bag still will not show an evolution prompt.

How to evolve Iris into Irisal

Catch an Iris. The base form lives in the Sea of Flowers in the Breezy Plains region, where it is recorded between levels 19 and 28, so a wild capture there can already clear the level gate the moment you catch it.
Bring it to Aniimo level 18 if it is under the line. Iris is a ranged magic attacker with 101 magic attack and 71 EP regen at base, so it can hold its own in fights while it levels rather than riding along as dead weight.
Beat the Alpha Irisal. Irisal is a Grass Aniimo, and Grass takes 1.6x damage from Fire, Wind, and Dark attacks, so lead with one of those three elements and leave your own Grass hitters at home, since Grass into Grass lands at 0.625x.
Open the Aniimo’s evolution screen and pay the material. One Sprout Stone covers the evolution, and the same cost applies no matter which form you are evolving.

How to confirm the evolution worked

The result is obvious on the stat card. The name changes to Irisal, height climbs from 0.85 m to 1.3 m, HP moves from 69 to 100, and two new moves appear in the skill list: Focused Beam and Dancing Petals. If the skill list still stops at Floral Storm and Vortex of Petals, the evolution has not gone through.

Iris regional and special forms, and where they spawn

Iris has seven appearances in total, and they are cosmetic and regional rather than mechanical. Every form shares the same base stats, the same Grass typing, the same DPS role, and the same evolution requirements, and each one evolves into the matching Irisal form.

FormHabitat
BasicSea of Flowers
Highland FormRusset Highlands
ForestForest of Falling Stars
Grassland FormNimbus Fields, The Mistwoods, The Argent Strait, Blitzwood
Plateau FormDriftwise Meadow
Mountain Woods FormBerylline Vale, Beast Fang Ridge
Prismana

Spawn levels vary by area. Grassland Iris shows up as low as level 5 in Nimbus Fields, while Highland Iris in the Russet Highlands sits at 45 to 50, well past the evolution threshold. The Prismana version is the rare one, with no habitat of its own on the books, and encountering one is a listed Aniilog challenge alongside meeting every other Iris form.

What Irisal gains over Iris

StatIrisIrisal
HP69100
Attack101118
Defense5370
Magic attack101118
Magic defense5370
EP regen7194
BP attack5052

The role does not change. Irisal is still a Grass DPS built around ranged magic damage, it keeps Floral Storm at 30 power for 13 EP and Vortex of Petals at 60 power for 20 EP, and it adds Focused Beam at 120 power plus the Dancing Petals finisher at 187 power. Focused Beam also feeds off Dance Power, the stack the Aniimo builds from skill hits, and its range widens once that counter reaches 24.

The practical upgrade is the EP regen jump from 71 to 94, which is what lets the heavier moves come out more often. Irisal shares the Sea of Flowers habitat with its pre-evolution, and no further evolution is recorded past it.

Irisalis is in the Iris family but not in the evolution chain

Irisalis shares the Iris family tag and the Grass DPS role, and it sits one stage above Irisal, but the game records no evolution path to it or from it. You cannot evolve an Irisal into one, and there is no material or level that changes that. It is logged under Season 1 Keepsakes rather than a field habitat.

Its numbers run higher on offense than Irisal’s, at 130 attack, 130 magic attack, 78 defense and magic defense, 108 EP regen, 56 BP attack, and 90 HP, with a height of 1.5 m. The kit leans on clones: Irisalis Shadow costs 40 EP for 90 power and summons an Iris Clone that fires a Floral Gleam Beam, Whirling Blossom Rain costs 20 EP for 60 power and sets every clone firing at once, and Florae Descent lands for 240 power and leaves behind a clone that lasts 30 seconds.

So the family tree is shorter than the Aniilog makes it look. One evolution, one threshold, one boss, one stone, and whichever form of Iris you started with comes out the other side as the matching Irisal.
