We Were Wrong is the Japan mission where Logan tracks the Hand mutant carrying the Helix Engine, and it packs six pickups into a fairly short run through neon streets, a planetarium-themed club, and a flooded basement. It is also home to one of the game’s more entertaining mission trophies.

Quick answer: We Were Wrong contains six collectibles — five Material Crates (#44 to #48) and Whisky Bottle #14, Revolto. Each crate pays out +50 Materials, and nothing here is missable.

We Were Wrong collectibles checklist

Here is everything the mission holds, listed in the order you naturally run into it.

Material Crate #45Behind the blue UFO prop in the club+50 Materials
Whisky Bottle #14 (Revolto)Behind a metal gate, past a truckCollectible entry

There are no Nightmare Doors and no Nightmare Trials in this mission, and no suit unlocks either. Crates and the single bottle are the whole list.

Collectible route through We Were Wrong

The mission opens with Logan following drag marks along a wet, neon-lit street. A truck is parked on the right side of the road — cut around it into the dark alley beside it, and Material Crate #44 is glowing blue against the wall. Claw it open for your first +50 Materials.

Inside the planetary-themed club, drop the hanging Saturn model (see the trophy steps below) and then run across it to reach the lower floor. Tucked behind the blue UFO prop down there is Material Crate #45.
After the Essex cutscene you are back on the street. Keep running until the path forks, and ignore the direction the tracking prompt points you. Head the other way, past a truck, and grab the green bottle of Revolto sitting behind a metal gate on cinder blocks. That is Whisky Bottle #14.

Carry on until you reach the street with the smoking, overturned car and the rattled civilian nearby. From the car, take the left street, then turn into the alleyway on your right. Material Crate #46 is at the back of it, next to a patch of yellow flowers.

Still tracking the Hand mutant, you will come out into an open courtyard. Look for the small alcove blocked off by stacked wooden crates and pallets, shred them, and open Material Crate #47 inside.

Push through the heavy wooden doors into the room lined with sake barrels, then take the stairs down. In the blue-lit, flooded storage area below, break the wooden crates on your left to expose Material Crate #48, the last collectible in the mission.

Saturn Slam trophy: how to drop the Saturn model

The Saturn Slam trophy is tied to the club section with the hanging planet models, and it only takes a few seconds if you set it up before the fight starts.

Enter the planetary-themed room from above and stay crouched on the metal walkway. A Hand guard patrols up there — take him out quietly so the group below stays unaware.

Move to the large Saturn model suspended over the floor. The game flags the rope holding it with a blue outline and the prompt to attack the rope to make Saturn fall down.
Slash the rope while the Hand are still gathered underneath. The model crashes down on them, the trophy pops, and the fallen Saturn doubles as a ramp to the lower floor where Material Crate #45 is waiting.

Cut the rope before you are spotted. Once the enemies scatter, fewer of them are standing in the drop zone.

Materials earned and the Crate Collector trophy

Clearing all five crates in this mission adds 250 Materials to your total, which feeds directly into crafting suits and upgrading Health. Material Crate #47 is the pickup that triggers the Crate Collector trophy, so if your crate count is otherwise complete, expect it to pop in the courtyard.

Whisky Bottle #14 counts toward Full Barrel, the trophy for collecting every bottle in the game. Revolto shows up in the collectible menu with a “New Collectible” banner and a very unimpressed line from Logan when he picks it up.

How to verify you cleared the mission

Open the Collectible Tracker in the pause menu and check the We Were Wrong entry. It should read five of five Material Crates and one of one Whisky Bottle, with the Nightmare Door count empty because the mission has none. The same tracker is available in the Nightmare Cabin.

Nothing in this mission is permanently missable. If you finish the story with gaps, interact with the bed in the Nightmare Cabin to use chapter select and replay We Were Wrong for whatever you left behind, including the Saturn Slam trophy if you walked past the rope the first time.
